Daring Do continues the hunt for treasure!Or rather, Rainbow Dash PLAYS as Daring Do as she continues hunting for treasure.
The patch that Dash is holding up is a reference to the patches you could get from Activision when you sent them a photo of you scoring a certain score/finishing a game. (In PITFALL!, you had to score 20000.)
Also, 114000 is the highest score you could earn in PITFALL!

Fun fact: I'm writing the first chapter of a Mother 1 crossover with the CMC and one of the first scenes has Scootaloo reading Daring Do.
As a horrible, horrible, life-destroying secret she must never let the other kids know Twist talked her into reading.
She IS already having trouble being "cool" while getting a bad rap for being a psychic freak, AND a blank flank!

Neat. Although I most likely won't read it, no offense, it's just that I never played Mother 1...or any game with Ness that wasn't a Super Smash Bros....nor did I even like him that much anyway. No offense to either you or Mother though.

That's a shame. It seems silly on the outset...but it goes supposing dark places.
Ness is only in one game outside Smash Brothers: Mother 2. (Or Earthbound as it was called in the U.S.) Mother 1 stars a character that LOOKS a lot like Ness, named Ninten (although the Magna calls him "Ken."), but he's totally different.
The Final boss in Mother 1 is the same as in Mother 2. (although "Giygas" undergoes a major transformation by the end of it all.)

Actually...it glosses over a lot of things in the interest of being funny. Therefore, it doesn't explain everything. Like WHY IS GIYGAS RED AND SCARY ALL OF A SUDDEN IN MOTHER 2?
Well...I'll spoil as little as possible by being frustratingly vague.
In Mother 1, Ninten and friends break Giygas' psychic control over the planet with...love. I know, its cheesy, and its kind of misleading to put it that way, but basically that's all I can really say.
So...Giygas, while LOSING to love, does not ACCEPT love, decides that he's going to have to do something about his only weakness. So, to prepare for the battle against the one prophesized to finally defeat him, he hooks himself up with a machine that enhances his evil powers and kills the "weaker" parts of his mind until love can no longer touch him.
He's highly unstable in this state, pushing himself to the limit. One wrong move could cause him to literrally explode with evil.
Sounds like a nifty way to defeat him?
Think about what I just said for a moment.
Explode. with Evil.
EXPLODE with EVIL.
And that is why Ness has gigantic gorilla balls...
...and also won't be showing up in my fic. (as a pony playing him.)
Scootaloo is playing Ninten, by the way.
Also, Mother 3 is really, really fun and the story is beautiful.
The Mother series will suck punch in the heart.

That's actually an unconfirmed theory. Maybe Itoi actually came out and disproved it at one point....
The only reason anyone gets a fetus from the final boss is if they look at the BLACK instead of the RED...they get a weird Rorshach test effect. The fact that Giygas is kind of abstract and hard to make out in the first place doesn't really help.
But...the only way to make out a fetus is at a stage in the battle when the Giygas's image is repeated and everything's kind of going crazy....crazier.
