The Pokemon motivationals I've searched and am looking at. Look at my favs, there's a ton new ones there. I'll got back and comment when I'm not killing myself with laughter and I don't want to lose my place in my search since my computer tends to randomly crash. (I manage to revive it every time, thankfully.)

Yes. And I'm about to take a break, so I'm about to leave a comment. I'm on the verge of an asthma attack from laughing too much.

I think that's how hard Ash was laughing at Misty in that scene.

Hey. So the day after I rejoin, I catch the head cold going around the house. >_< LOL, at least it's not nearly as bad as before, it's actually more like really bad allergies than what I used to when I was sick in MD!

It's okay! Head colds are troublesome;; I was thinking you were spending time with your mom yesterday and you were hoping you had a great time!

She's gotten hit too... Though at least we're in good spirits about it. We've both teased our housemate (Tou-san's kids' Aunt) about getting us sick (since she had it first), and she teasingly replied, "You're welcome!"

It's giving my mom the perfect excuse to rest rather than continue to overwork herself preparing a plot for the orchard we plan on having. (I swear she's turned into a workaholic once we moved down here, I practically have to sit on her to get her to take a break!)

We plan on growing most of our own fruits and veggies. We have a bunch of chickens for eggs too, and we'll be turning a hot tub that came with the house into a fish farm for fresh fish. (Since the hot tub is not in good shape, it was either be creative and find a use for it, or waste money and rip it out.)

I know! And a friend I've made down here has a friend who might be able to teach me archery... If I am able to learn, there's wild game too! (Nine people live in here, plus 4 dogs, 11 cats, a mini-donkey, an aviary's worth of tropical birds, 3 dozen chickens, a dozen ducks, 5 guineas, and 2 turkeys... Saving money on food by supplying it ourselves is a good idea.)

Yup. It's a skill I've wanted to learn for awhile, but never had the opportunity to learn it. I like learning and want to learn as many skills as I can. You never know when a seemingly obscure skill could come in handy, after all. Oh, and I forgot to mention we have a pet mini-pot-bellied pig too.

I missed you all too! And you, by this point my mom agrees that I'm pretty much the embodiment of what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Especially since, with reduced stress in my life, my body has more energy to heal, and scars I've had for years from clumsiness are now non-existent. The scarring in my lungs from the bacterial bronchitis that caused me to become so sickly is also gone, taking a large amount of my asthma issues with it... I joked about being a Saiyan when I was younger from my large appetite, inability to put on weight from overeating (not possible with me), and massive strength when angered, but with how completely I now heal with less emotional strain in my life.... My grandfather joked about being an alien, after all...

Oh, I had had bacterial bronchitis long before you ever knew me. It's what caused me to be so sickly every winter for nearly a decade from the scarring in my lungs. I caught it during my third semester of college and wound up dropping out because I stupidly ignored doctor's advice and didn't go to a hospital for intravenous antibiotics and instead insisted on taking them orally... Needless to say, I am NOT making that mistake again, no matter how much I hate hospitals. I caught the bronchitis when I was 19 and joined dA when I was 23, so I had been suffering the consequences of my prideful stupidity for 4 years at that point. But, better I had my pride beat down to a healthy level early on in life than later when I'd have become dependent on my inflated pride and wouldn't survive a "failure", so to speak.

Oh, FYI, I just remembered the PM system here and checked it for any relevant messages that can still apply and thought you should know I still have my FF account, I just changed the username. It's Nozomi Higurashi now, since I always go by that name on the net. It's my username pretty much everywhere save here and YouTube now, and that's only because I don't know how to change my username (if I even can).

I'm planning on going back, but I'm looking for a job first. My mom and step-dad are supporting me along with his ex-wife for now. My step-dad's ex-wife still has a good relationship with him and actually lives with us with the children from his previous marriage. She's taken on the role of an aunt with me, and my mom has done the same for her kids. Our family is more like community living in a single house (that's thankfully quite large given there's nine people under one roof) - and I'm more pack-oriented than most humans, so having a healthy, happy "pack" does wonders for me. My instincts are much, much stronger than most humans and before finding my "pack" I related better to animals than humans. The family I have now not only accepts my unusually strong instincts without a fuss, but goes out of their way to accommodate them when necessary. The house we have now wasn't the one we had when Mom and I moved down - and they had me pick out what house felt "right" to my instincts as a territory.

Mostly things that deal with helping people or working with animals. My mom just found a potential volunteer opportunity for me today. I'm going to do volunteer work first to build up a resume and get used to a work environment. And, yeah, I plan on living on my own someday. I'm not ready yet, and I'll need to find people I could trust as housemates for the pack thing as well, but I do want to live on my own someday. Though, I'll probably stay in the same town as we live in now. It's filled with nature, and that's the best place for me.

Funny you should mention my sixth sense. I don't know if I ever told you, but I seem to have some precognition. There was a place with some nice land we could afford, but I absolutely refused to go to the second floor of the house. And I wouldn't enter the garage either. Both places made me incredibly nervous because I sensed potential danger, and Mom and Tou-san (my step-father) heeded that and got an inspection before signing anything. Good thing too: The second floor was ready to collapse into the garage at any moment. The house wound up condemned instead.

Wow sounds like the perfect place to live no wonder you want to pursue something with nature.

wow! that is aweaome

Haven't gotten to apply anywhere for volunteer work yet, we're suddenly down to one car, which my mom uses to get to work. Money's been tight lately because Tou-san's ex-wife (who has MS and lives with us so we can act as caretakers rather than place her in a nursing home) has some severe debt. The other two cars (on was Tou-san's the other belonged to Jimmy, one of my step-brothers) were sold to help deal with the debt. However, we're on our way our of this tight financial spot, thankfully, and will probably get a used car in a few months. I just mentioned to my mom today that next weekend we should look around the area for volunteer opportunities I can ride my bicycle to. (This weekend is busy.)

I want to pursue something with nature mostly because it's very soothing to me and my instincts. My powerful instincts are much, much calmer when I'm surrounded by nature - hence why Mom and Tou-san brought me along when looking for houses. Powerful instincts like mine can be very dangerous when not dealt with correctly - I needed to learn to work with them. Suppressing them would be more dangerous than bottling up anger since once they break free, there's a high chance my rational mind with be lost completely in overwhelming instincts, making no more than a wild animal in human skin. Conversely, indulging them too much would warp me as well, just slowly. Picture a tightrope balancing act, and that's what it's like. I can't go too far one way or the other without falling. Thankfully, I'm very self-aware and am easily able to figure out how to deal with my instincts properly. I naturally have mental strengths that most people actually need training or meditation to achieve. Like the ability to compartmentalize my thoughts and emotions in a crisis - emergency workers go through training to accomplish this, and I pretty much just flick a switch in my brain to enter into that state of mind.

Wow what a mess...but yeah gie the volunteer places time and don't be afraid to call and let them know your interested
Hope it all works out

SAME!! I really regret not pursing biology or something nature related in college, for the same reason: its fun, it soothes me, and Its a job that i can go to, get inspired come home and then do my thing...i thinki know what you mean by powerful instincts, but i'm glad to hear your finding ways to channel them more positively i think doing something with nature is definitely the way to go then.
