etoilesminuit In reply to ??? [2011-08-07 00:50:10 +0000 UTC]

xD lol, that's just great. I've never done anything like that before.

Also, when I go out the door at night (it has just the same 2x2 tiny window square as minecraft doors do), I sometimes think, "hey, that thing out there might be a creeper"

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-07 05:05:06 +0000 UTC]

Lol, I use creeper references sometimes. But I have looked around a room before and thought "this would be so easy to build on minecraft."

I also have an urgo to stick a torch in a dark place like a basement sometimes >_>

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-07 15:15:21 +0000 UTC]

Who wouldn't want to do that after a creeper has spawned randomly in a dark place?

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-07 19:09:13 +0000 UTC]

Another creeper.

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-07 20:40:58 +0000 UTC]

Creepers are creepier when they don't move though. The anticipation of when they're going to move is terrible sometimes.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-07 21:33:35 +0000 UTC]

The creepy factor comes from the moment you get too close and the creeper turns toward you and starts moving. Actually, it's the tension when you see a creeper, but it doesn't see you. Yet.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-07 21:44:51 +0000 UTC]

Well when it doesn't move and you get close to it because it's on a block higher than you with only one square of space open to see it, then it moves half a millimeter... That's scary.
Or when you think it sees you because it turned right in your direction and your only choice is to stand there as still as you can because there's a wall behind you and no where to run. Prepare for a fight and hope you don't die.

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-07 22:16:41 +0000 UTC]

That's a creative idea and reminds me of how I get rid of sand towers by placing a torch underneath a block that's holding sand and after I mine the block away the sand falls and is destroyed by the sand.
But that idea is helpful if I'm not in a cave of any sort.

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-07 22:23:40 +0000 UTC]

Hey, a creeper won't kill you outright, if you're lucky and at full health, you might survive two. More with armor. Make sure to sleep in a bed nearby, so, if you manage to die, you'll find it in no time.

Once those new monsters come out I'll be forced to play on a server with monsters on. Everyone should experience the terror of the Endermen with the adventure update.
They pick up blocks. I don't know what I'd be scared of more, creepers or endermen. o__O

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-08 10:09:52 +0000 UTC]

Slendermen. In Minecraft. That'll make the game complete. Also, make them come out of the screen and kill the player.
Make sure you read this, if you haven't already: [link] .

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-08 23:02:34 +0000 UTC]

The fuckers are the main reason I don't do a lot of glowstone mining in the Nether. In fact, for my "No-Peaceful" saves I have a single exception - the Nether. Fuck Ghasts.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-08 23:04:22 +0000 UTC]

I hate the ghasts too. Pigmen are something I can deal with. I don't want a ghast blowing me up when I'm trying to get some glowstone. It's unfair.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-09 12:17:55 +0000 UTC]

Notch called them "the most unfair mob made more unfair" once. They don't even drop anything special - they drop gunpowder, in the same amounts as Creepers do. I'll choose hunting Creepers any day. Also it often falls into lava, anyway.

It is possible to colonize Nether, though. Cobblestone (I do call it sometimes "Mr. Cobbles") is Ghast-proof. You can farm trees in there as well, and Zombie Pigmen are a good food source (no wheat though, that needs water which you can't place legit).

Just don't put any beds. That's a bad idea.

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-09 22:06:55 +0000 UTC]

Hehehe, I know. Though you won't need one so much. As for the respawn point thing, just make a portal out (or use the entry portal and make a 2x2 room for the bed (like a continuation of the portal).

Friend: Well I'm just going to *BOOOOMMM* WTF DID YOU DO ANGEL?!

Either that or wool turns into pressure-activated land mine in the Nether.

Could be fun to spawn a lot of skeletons in the Nether, then observe the ensuing epic projectile battle.

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-10 22:12:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, that would be fun. But annoying if you kept getting attacked.

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-10 23:05:33 +0000 UTC]

You know what's annoying? Trying to get a skeleton to shoot a creeper and kill it.
Either there are no skeletons around, or no creepers around, or the creeper you've carefully "prepared" falls off somewhere and dies. Not to mention all the times the creeper blows up.
So far, I've NEVER managed it.

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-11 18:33:46 +0000 UTC]

No, I usually just run like a scared three year old on Halloween in a "haunted house" when it comes to mobs.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-11 20:48:07 +0000 UTC]

Also, a mob grinder is a dark, big room with a trap and a water sled for all the drops.
It's kinda annoying, because, sometimes, they just don't spawn at all for some reason.

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-11 20:51:39 +0000 UTC]

I've seen that, but never bothered to make it. I'm just a chicken when it comes to things like that. *lays egg randomly* D:

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-11 20:58:12 +0000 UTC]

*pop*
Oh, a chicken farm is fun to make, but to get eggs to start it is a bitch. Trying to force a chicken into a tiny hole is hard. Then you seal yourself in with the fuckern and wait overnight.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

etoilesminuit In reply to htmlcoderexe [2011-08-11 23:44:52 +0000 UTC]

lol chicken farms seem fun.

htmlcoderexe In reply to etoilesminuit [2011-08-12 00:01:18 +0000 UTC]

Build a 4x4 tower with a 2x2 hole in it. Make it 4 or 5 high, with a 2x2 doorway on the bottom. Place 4 signs on the walls inside at 3 height.
Fill space above signs with water. Top the tower up to 6 with glass blocks. Toss a stack or two of eggs in the water (best if you hit the glass wall part), so you get 4-6 chickens. Confirm that the chickens cannot escape. Build a double-chest inside the room below the signs and stand on it. You might want to add double doors in the doorway so mobs can't get to you while you are AFK.
By the way, I've just finished the 64th page of my very own comic (link in the sig): [link]
I guess that makes a stack, so I'll have to begin a new stack, lol.
