I model with polygons shift draging on edges to make new polys. Sometimes i box model also depending on how strict the deadline is.

In my current job I don't but before i was using it when i was freelancing. In some ways it does make modeling easy and it is great to learn so that you can quickly and effectively demonstrate your artistic ability, plus it is fun, however it is not used to make content for most game titles due to game engine mapping or polygon restrictions.

Well, actually on channel 4 education - they have just finished broadcasting a show called KNTV Philosophy which I modelled and textured props for. Sadly, it is now finished...but they will be repearing it at the beginning of next year...i think.
