I was already thinking of going to the woods beyond my fence and take a few pictures and use them to make a new camo. C&P the elements in the pics, use the tutorial's tips to make a digital pattern, etc....

But I think I'll modify something I already have...

That's a good idea!
That's pretty much what I did for the NE Oklahoma stuff that I posted a while back. [link]
It'd be worth a try, just to master the process and tools, even if you end up using another pattern for the tutorial.

Do you have snow on the ground still? If so, it would be good to hurry and take some pictures before the snow melts, so you can use them for reference and/or camo making.
