Hello Garrett,
I'll have to admit - I've usually got my nose stuck in photography on DA, missing out on other types of artwork on the site. I'm trying to break that habit and your work is one of the first I've come across where I've had to step back and take an in-depth look through your gallery. Your work is original, your work is refreshing. It's nice to view a piece of art and have to think about it, to have to weave my own story or understanding of what is happening. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

haha i'm still trying to get adjusted to deviantart and stuff..but eventually i'll get used it and get some more stuff up. i've been kind of in a creative block for a while, but hopefully that's lifting.
i think it's great that you can draw certain influences from rauschenberg but still have a distinct, unique style. the rauschenberg exhibit sounds amazing..the closest i could get to anything like that would probably be chicago. but someday, i'm going to get out of the horrible midwest.. lol

i noticed that you listed rauschenberg as your favorite artist. your stuff reminds me of his in some ways (which can only be a good thing)

i swear this name is purely and laboriously original. involves years of burdensome heartfalls about myself, epiphanies in poetry, realizations found in song lyrics, evolving and diminishing, eventually turning into the hopeful worldview i carry today.
it's a long story.
