It seems I found and artist I should comment on every picture and tell how cool the design is or something. Don't have time for that now so I just say it once, your designs and artisan crafts rock.

My brother in law to-be's name is "TreeStone". Truely. Actually. Legally. I get a kick out of seeing your work under the name "LaugingTree" because I get faked out each time.

In the meantime, your Artisan Crafts interview was excellent.

Gotta love the tree people! Technically my two hebrew names are translated exactly to "To laugh" and "tree"

Yet interestingly enough, I didn't think of that until AFTER I thought of the name "laughingtree"

I really just love trees and I love to laugh!

I'm glad you enjoyed the interview!

It was meant to be. My name is Lautari; a given Romanian name when I came of age; which means a Romani gypsy violinist. Which is exactly what I am.

Huzzah for appropriate and creative names. Though I can't get any credit for making mine up.

Hi... it occurred to me after sending notes back and forth that you might really enjoy my Dad's website. He is a retired 72 year old construction worker. He doesn't blow glass but does a lot of slumping that incorporates old tools. Tell me what ya think [link] I obviously think he's talented.

Okay, as an avid art glass collector I would love to be able to purchase a piece of your work. Is that possible?

Absolutely. If you visit my website at [link] all my work is priced for sale there. Although, I have not yet added the new pieces. Those will be added shortly. Probably today.

Thanks for the interest.

Went to your site but I'm a lil confussed...didn't see anything about ordering ..or shipping... Please let me know what it was I missed?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LaughingTree In reply to AmerikanPoppedKultur [2006-07-06 20:25:10 +0000 UTC]

I suppose that's a good point. All I really have listed on my site are the prices of available pieces. I will work on a little section specifically for ordering.

In the meantime, if you see a piece that you are interested in, please contact me directly and we can discuss ordering and shipping.

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for bringing up the point that I lacked any ordering information on my site.

I had a dream last night that you were 14 years old. you kept giving me this sage advice and I was pissed off because I wasn't that wise when I was 14.

the weird thing is, you still had your beard.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LaughingTree In reply to IvoryDrive [2006-05-11 21:15:46 +0000 UTC]

Haha. That'd be a good image. I had the most babiest of faces when I was 14... I assure you, I only can offer advice now, becuase I learned from many "mistakes" when I was younger.

Keep working on potentially going to college. I really think you'd like it.

IvoryDrive In reply to LaughingTree [2006-05-11 23:15:20 +0000 UTC]

I probably would, I don't think that this year is my time yet, I'll look into next year at some art college. I could see myself liking it.

I'm pretty sure I do. That's generally the standard fist question most glassblowers get after people find out they're glassblowers...

However, if you don't see it in my gallery, then I don't blow it.

I'm struck speechless by your pieces. They're just amazing. No, that word isn't quite right, but then, I doubt there is a word that could adequately describe your work. I have always had the most respect and admiration for the artists behind glass pieces. I really find myself unable to put into words how your art speaks to me.

hey jesus hows it goin?
~MescalineBanana introducted me to your art. your gallery amazes me. the time and talent that has gone into everything. it all looks so perfect.
i especially like all the different spinal pieces you created. spines fascinate me.
your tree tattoo is the most amazing bodyart i have seen. a couple months ago i started to ponder on what tattoo i will get in the future. i thought about getting a tree on my lower back. to cover my back would be too much. i love trees and everything they do and are. of all things in nature, trees are my favorite. the sun comes second. wanyways- when i saw your tattoo i became excited ^_^ ive yet to find a perfect tree for a tattoo. im not skilled at drawing gnarly beautiful things. but do not fret- your tree wont be on anyone elses back.
i also admire the colorful goblets you made. the colors are beautiful and so are the shapes of the glass.
i was wondering if you blow animal shaped glass... say... an elephant? mayhaps with a couple of holes in him... say like a piece of some sort that is useable? i have been meaning to look for a glass blower. and i found you. your skills are amazing and i admire all of your work.
love
