I'm always amazed by your combination of electrical work + welding + artistic vision. You're A+ in a world of C-'s.

i remember seeing your page when i had first joined da and you only had the orb-ject at that illuminated bit. i was very drawn to it but i hadn't caught on to the deviant watch feature; i am glad to have found your page again! and in oregon, too!? small world, good work.

I'm in Portland too. I'm going to PSU right now. There is a lot of things going on in DA it is hard to sort them all out. I like your work too. I got sick of DA when I first signed up, people were always pestering me for comments on crappy artwork. I logged out and didn't log back in until about 10 months later, I'm liking it much more this second time around.

i really like what you're doing with the acrylic and the metal combination, and really the only reason the welds on my piece are so rough, is because i havent gotten the argon upgrade kit for my welder(which supposedly will help somewhat). im definately thinking about skinning the piece but that may come once i can get an air/electric nibbler to cut the metal, as of right now, all the sheet metal has been cut by hand with shears.

If you are using a Mig then the any shielding gas will help with the welds. You should look into a Tig attachment for your welder if one is available. To get beautiful welds a Tig is the way to go. I use a oxy/acetylene set up. I get good control over the bead but I lose a lot of strength, which isn't as important when dealing with small art work.
Where in New Hampshire do you live? I have a lot of relatives in North Conway.

i live down in southern new hampshire, almost on the border of mass, the town is called Pelham, its about a half hour southeast of nashua. Im probably going to get an oxy/acetelyne setup soon too, but im really saving for a plasma cutter. thanks
