well that is really up to you. Godzilla isn't realistic in any way, so you probably shouldn't worry about trying to figure out what is biologically possible. Godzilla isn't biologically possible, so make it reproduce however you want.

oh ok i was saying the way the 98 Godzilla breeds makes sense with all the Godzillas

hypergojira In reply to Doctordid [2009-04-03 04:11:10 +0000 UTC]
I think it does, but it probably wouldn't lay eggs. Most likely live birth. There is a limit to how large eggs can gt because they have to bring in oxygen through the shell. FYI, the ones in the '98 godzila movie wher way to large, dino eggs are about as big as they can get.

may i ask how do u think the Japanese Godzilla breeds

hypergojira In reply to Doctordid [2009-04-02 17:08:55 +0000 UTC]
Well Toho is not exactly clear on what Godzilla even is(dinosaur, mutated dinsoaur, etc.), but here are some possibilities:
1) it doesn't breed, it is unique, an abomination/mutation and cannot breed
2) it is a giant species of ancient dinosaur and would breed just like any other dinosaur as long as it has a mate
3) it could, like some lizards (perhaps many given the wide varierty of lizards that can do this), produce offspring asexually (as suggested in the american movie). That would mean godzilla is female of course.

no, this take is from the Dungeons and Dragons cosmology. However, I don't think the name demogorgon was created for D&D, I think it has historical roots. But I could be wrong on that.

FYI, I did a little research and though the name is greek (demo and gorgon), the first time it ever appeared in writing was in christian texts.

Hey, HG. Two updates on the Geeky front:
(1) a third (poorly) colored Delgadozilla, and
(2) I'm considering scanning & uploading a bunch of Godzilla '84 still cards...would a copyright-related smackdown be in the offing from Toho?

Oh, I don't mind that aspect at all. "My" Big G would actually sport a degree of Titanosaurus' live-and-let-live mindset IF undisturbed...but irk him with an artillery barrage/maser salvo/cockamamie superweapon, and things get fugly. Said brutal instincts would also be evident in his strategies 'gainst especially persistent foes (punching in Gigan's optic visor, snapping off Battra's pointy bits, etc.). Kinda like a Bruce Lee-trained Showa Goji with a marked feral streak.

that is basically how I conceive of most of my favorite giant monsters. It basically minds it own business, but get in its way and watch out!
Now all i can picture is bruce lee trying to whip the "real" godzilla into shape!

Y'know, it IS damned eerie how closely Delgadozilla's snarly mug parallels Lee's PCP-intense closeup shots from "Enter the Dragon."
...and now I'm stuck visualizing Big G dislocating Gigan's arms, snapping off the hooks, and posing briefly to indicate how royally *boned* his remaining foes are.

hey put u on watch what do u think of a zombie Gojira or Godzilla trying to get movement of a zombie Godzilla going through deviant art
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
hypergojira In reply to Doctordid [2009-02-09 10:24:04 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for the watch. I never really thought of doing a zombie godzilla, but I have seen something like that on DA before ( I even faved it). Also, Nihilove's godzillas are rather zombie like ([link] ).
Personally, I'm not really in favor of the concept. To me godzilla is an indestructible force of nature/life/power. Really it is the antithesis of the undead. However, the whole Kiryu concept is similar to a zombie in a way. I could accept Kiryu based godzilla zombie. That would actually work as the perfect nemesis to my concept of godzilla
