Alas, CORE membership bears little to no similarities to the old Premium membership!
My status I don't support CORE, should elucidate changes, as set by deviantART staff.


I'm elated that you're not alone, in saying I will be missed here.
I have enjoyed my time as a member here - it will be grievous, to leave under such morose
circumstances! Nevertheless, this isn't the first time that the staff have been clandestine
about changes - before surprising us! The new "rabbit hole" logo (which is most unsuitable,
for an arts community website - the colour is blinding), the timelines, as well as the constant
changing of members' symbols! Now, sadly, they have made obtaining (and keeping)
subscriptions exhorbitant! Moreover, no extra perks have become available, to subscribed
members!

I will send you a note, concerning my email address. I should enjoy the prospect of maintaining
contact with you - even if communications are irregular!

Regarding my writings: Yes, I have at least two friends who enjoy my literature immensely!
I do hope you can join us, as I tell the stories of Alexander (the priest you painted for me), as well
as the girl (Catherine - whom you also painted for me)!

I see.. I wasn't very much aware what the premium membership gave to begin with, so I can't say much about the changes. I've had premium membership a few times and I'd only use it to make my profile a bit fancier. Mostly I have this account just to irregularly upload something and to keep in touch with people. I'm not very much bothered about details. But I can understand if you want out. My email by the way, is maria_kuzeva@abv.bg  . Sure, we can keep in touch! Maybe we can even find some other website, where there aren't any CORE memberships! xD

I understand. Many members only use subscriptions to make their profiles fancy. Otherwise, they are most content, using the standard widgets. Thank you! Thanks, also, for your email address! You're welcome! Moreover, I'm glad you're enjoying your vacation!
It's always nice to see old friends, family members (who live far away), and/or else
just indulge in doing something different!

I'm still waiting for surgery, so have been offline a little more than usual. However,
my sick muse (who almost killed me with her lack of energy) allowed both of us to
return to DA! So hopefully I get more done again, before I need to go to the
hospital!

Ah, no, I was referencing your Journal where you say you get a lot of points beggars, but you like the requests because you have a long argumentative theory about why those people don't deserve the points that you reply with. I was wondering about that theory.

Oh, I wrote that ages ago, I even forgot it's still there. Well, just take a second to imagine what kind of a person would beg for points. Probably a 11 year old kid, who is so spoiled that they think they can get everything, just because they WANT to and that we should all agree. Or people, so insolent that they'll just beg like this. Or someone without art skills, so they can't even sell commissions. If I have this kind of people in my face, I don't feel bad to tell them off. And, let's be honest here, we're talking about points! They may be the disguised money, but are far more worthless, because you can't save your starving self with points, you can't pay your rent with points, you can't get your medication with them, meaning that no one really needs points THIS bad. So why do people humiliate themselves by begging? And, yea, that's the short version of it.

I'm all in favor of telling people off, we need people with the fearlessness to say no, less kindness and more honesty … but have you ever tried to get the beggars to earn the points they want? Maybe commission them, even if they aren't that good; reward the effort with points, not the skill. Teach those eleven-year-olds a lesson about earning what they want through hard work and all that, otherwise they'll keep asking people until someone gives in and so they will have learned the exact lesson you don't like them for. And as for the insolent, that I wouldn't mind. Like I said, we need people with fearlessness. But then you get to the question of do they really need points that badly? And on that I agree with you almost completely.
