Or you could reply to this comment saying thank you.

OHGEEZ, you scared me! How rude! neow I gotta change me pantaloones! jkjk
It isn't really what I prefer, but I've seen countless people on DA say that people only comment on people's profiles because they want to advertise. I just figured this was a way to show that most people can be more aware of there surroundings and that when people thank other people it is an act of selflessness. Maybe not that far, but it's a shame that people discredit "thank you".
wait... how did i catch you off guard... Oh nvm. It's like 2 am here.

KururusLover In reply to 1sabatooth2 [2012-10-30 10:10:07 +0000 UTC]
Hahaha.
I don't know, I mean, it's nice when people give appreciation, (Even though faving takes little to no effort) but when they self advertise, I'm just like, "No, now I don't wanna go through the rest of your gallery." So yeah, I respect that you're trying to ease that down by asking patrons to comment there.
You caught me off guard when I was about to thank you in a regular comment, but then I saw that comment and I just sat there like, "WHOA OKAY NEVER MIND."
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
1sabatooth2 In reply to KururusLover [2012-10-30 10:37:06 +0000 UTC]
Yup! I always thought that faving isn't something that costs you money so a simple thanks would suffice. Ya know common courtesy and schtuff. Self advertisement is always annoying. If I would give a metaphor(simile) to self advertising it'd be like someone giving you a free cookie and then you asking for more free cookies after that. Kinda greedy, but I can't hate on them too hard because they love what they make themselves and they just want to share it.
OOOOHHHH, Yesh! Breaking the fourth wall when there is no fourth wall is fun! "MEHEHEH MY EVIL PLAN WORKED" that's what I said before I even wrote that comment
There is a down side to it being that if you're not aware of that comment and you comment with out knowing it's existence then unintentionally you look like the villan.

KururusLover In reply to 1sabatooth2 [2012-10-30 19:05:06 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, true that. I understand some people want recognition, but doing it on someone else's page is a little selfish and demeaning. Try advertising yourself by other means, y'know?

1sabatooth2 In reply to KururusLover [2012-10-31 01:55:48 +0000 UTC]
Ya, pretty much. I don't have a degree in business, but it seems pretty hard to have sympathetic advertising. Most business is just scummy.
PREEMPTIVE HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Because I'm too cool for saying "happy Halloween" on Halloween. jkjk

What do you plan on doing for Halloween? I'll probably be busy until nighttime, but day is the most scary time of Halloween. I mean look at all the strange culture!
Probably play some scary games or travel my neighborhood without a costume. I'm lame, I know.

What are you gonna do? sit around and filter water like a sea sponge? Or somfin?
I don't really have any scary videogames, but if I need to I can give myself mini-heart attacks by looking at "Earthbound" prices. Not many scary games on my ds...
I could watch a scary movie. Scary movies scare the piss out of me, but they're still awesome. Could watch some David Lynch movies. I watched Eraserhead, didn't really disturb me, but I would recommended it to anyone.
Halloween. yay.

Try 'Insidious' or 'Bless the Child.'
The last one isn't scary, but it's a hell of a lot interesting.

1sabatooth2 In reply to KururusLover [2012-10-31 22:03:59 +0000 UTC]
Interesting, I've heard of 'Insidious' and how horrifying it is. Never heard of 'Bless the Child' but I'll be sure to research and watch it! Probably won't be able to sleep tonight.
'The Shining' is a really good movie, and the previously mentioned 'Eraserhead' is... well... it's worth watching. There's a good copy of the movie on youtube if you don't use netflix or a movie rental place.
AND! If if you haven't seen Marble Hornets, now's never been a better time to marathon the hell out of that! Or creepy pastas and shtuff.

Haha, I'm a bit of a sadist, (Or just fucking insane.) so I really don't get scared often. I literally watch TONS of movies in order to get a good scare, but it never happens. I've read Jeff the Killer, played Slenderman, watched Insidious... Never jumped.

Hmm, very interesting! I think that you're desensitized to scary movies, by the way there is nothing wrong with this, it's like eating so many sweats that everything tastes bitter.
I actually rarely watch scary movies and by nature I seriously get scared by those movies, even if I'm as quiet as a fox when scared. My main buff is psychological thrillers(eh mostly) like 'The Shining.' My mom is morbidly afraid of that movie, even though it's extremely suspenseful, I never got scared per-say. And 'Eraserhead' It's not a horror movie, but it's supposed to be disturbing and scary. I wasn't disturbed or scared at all by the movie and wouldn't say that I liked it that much. But! What I said after the movie solidified it's uniqueness. I said "I'm surprised a movie like this was ever made". But I digress
I think a very good way to get scared from scary movies is actually to look at it from different perspectives. Like why a movie scared you or what idea was hidden behind the lame jumpscares or even if you didn't overtly notice did it change how you acted after that moment? I don't remember what it was, but I remember there was something that was supposed to be this extremely scary thing that scared alot of people except for me and I was like "lame" and then someone explained to me why it was scary and that freaked me out for a while after a while from originally seeing whatever it was. Unfortunately I don't remember it. :/ But! MUAHAHA YOU HAVE TO READ A BUTTLOAD OF TEXT HAHAHAHA!

When I saw this, I automatically said "WHOA FUCK, YOU EXPECT ME TO READ THAT SHIT?! HAHAHAHHA NOPE."
I skimmed through the second paragraph oooopsssss
Did you know scary movies can actually help you burn calories? It's the adrenaline that you obtain from fear. TOO BAD MY LAST RESORT TO LOSING WEIGHT I'M TOO LAZY TO WORK OUT HAHAHAHAHA.
I try to look at it either way, it really won't work. I heard 'Bless the Child' was scary for (reason I forgot) and I still was unscathed by it.

Yeah I did know that you could burn calories by watching scary movies! But if you're not scared and thus don't produce adrenaline how can you burn calories?! WHUUUUUUU
