Ahh, don't mind me. Just enjoying your SFA comic and wanted to show my support (and get notifications for updates!). ^-^

Dope! Do you have a favorite part so far?

If by that you mean a specific page, then no -- it flows too organically at this point for me to pick anything out. ;DΒ

If, on the other hand, you mean conceptually, then your expansion on the characters and situation to fill in the gaps the original game didn't account for -- including Krystal and/or the Krazoa having the foresight not to get her ganked fifteen minutes in -- is definitely what's kept me coming back. That and the fact that Fox and Krystal both read more like people than cutouts, which is always a plus. xD

Don't even worry about it, mate. This time of year can be especially hectic, we all know.Β

Hang in there, and good luck with the comic, whenever you choose to continue it!

"A shadow of Cygnus"?

Is this mayhap the sort of Cygnus to where one rides aboard the Rocinante?

AShadowOfCygnus In reply to Tinselfire [2018-11-02 23:34:19 +0000 UTC]

Indeed it is! Though happily, we seem to have skipped the bit where every atom gets torn apart. Shame about the apotheosis, though.

So, yes -- well-spotted, and well-met! You're the first person to figure it out without substantial coaching. ^-^

AShadowOfCygnus What other things (outside of fanfic readings) do you enjoy doing?

Clearly you have a great many questions for me, Mr Kess.

Unfortunately, work keeps me busy most of the time, so outside of writing and/or performing various things, I'm quite a boring chap. I work out; I spend time with my darling girlfriend; I occasionally get out and about to ride horses. Oh, and I suppose I take more interest in cooking than the average 26-year-old librarian, but there you are.

Oh, and I suppose Steam will tell you I'm something of an avid gamer, as well. But more often than not at this point, that's a background thing while I'm working on something else.

Hey thanks for the watch! :3 I would ask why, but I can assume it's because of Echo, lol.
Anyway, I find this rather funny because I've been meaning to say hey to you since you're a friend of said good sir above. So anyway, hey! ^-^

Also, nice name (yay Rush!)

Well, 'hey' right back at you!

To be fair, Test was the reason I went and looked at your page. xD You got my watch when I saw your gorgeous artstyle. And of course it doesn't hurt that you do Star Trek stuff, which is rare enough to find these days, in addition to pony. Keep doing what you're doing, 'cos you're doing it right. At least in the eyes of one old git.Β

And many thank-yous! In ten or so years of puttering about the Interwebs, you're the first person to figure out where it came from. ;D Except maybe Test, but he never said anything, so it doesn't count. >^<

XD, so this is only partly his fault. (Well, darm you, Echo! Darn you! [But not really. Actually thank you])

^-^ Thanks! I'm glad you like my work! :3
Oh yes, I could not do without the Star Trek. ST:TNG is bae, man.

Oh gosh, really? I find that hilarious! Especially considering that it came from a girl, no less. Poor Echo. I probably won't let him hear the end of this .

AShadowOfCygnus In reply to PencilMelody [2017-03-01 03:12:13 +0000 UTC]

xD Well, I'm sorry there's to be so much darning on my account.

I do indeed. And I'll look forward to more!Β
And I do hope you mean that Captain Picard is bae. ;3 If there was ever a man I aspire to be, it's Sir Pat Stew.

And what, pray tell, is this? Don't sell yourself short just because you're a girl. That's a very silly thing to do.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PencilMelody In reply to AShadowOfCygnus [2017-03-03 06:10:46 +0000 UTC]

Darn, that's a lot of darning to be had.

I'd say he's the best captain, but not my bae. That's Data's title. Data is the most bae of any bae that has ever been my bae (in the realm of fictional characters, that is. I have a human bae more bae than the android bae :3)

I'm not selling myself short. I am short, lol ^-^
This be the tale of one who just continued that long-running and silly joke among Rush-fans that females just don't like Rush.

Any more darning and we may have to graduate to embroidery.

I hear you. Though with the possible exception of the Amazing Cardboard Crusher, I don't think there was really a bad character on that show. I mean, ye gods, look at Data. Look at Worf (Alexander notwithstanding). Look at Q.

Quick as a whip, you are. ;0 But I've never held much truck with that notion, as it was my mum who first introduced me to it. To say nothing of taking me to my first concert on the (amusing enough)Β Test for EchoΒ tour, which we had to fly all the way out to Toronto for. It was awesome.

Or start a sock repair company. *gasp* Which could be a great way to make money and rake in the millions!!! >.<

Lol, let us not speak that character's name. (Though amazing and cardboard seem to be fitting. I think I'll use those from now on, XD) Look at Lore .

I try to crack jokes frequently. . .Β
XD, you're actually not the first one to mention hearing of Rush from their mom, so I think the joke may have been proven wrong. And, XD, because you can't go wrong with the Test for Echo tour. I bet it was ^-^. Lol, because of Echo, Test for Echo is one of my favorite songs from them :3

Now you're thinking with portals. :3

Depends on which Crusher we're talking about, I suppose. And yes, Lore. And rounding out the trio, Soong!

What can I say? It was nice to be raised by a Rush fan that wasn't a hairy man-child who thinks Moving Pictures was the only album they ever produced. And cannot indeed. 'Driven' is amazing live.

And, heh, you call him Echo, I call him Test. Now we just need to find some third wheel to shout 'for!' every now and again and we'll have the whole thing down.

Happy Friday!

PencilMelody In reply to AShadowOfCygnus [2017-03-13 04:20:26 +0000 UTC]

Lol, it's just so fun.

Wesley. He's just nope. Hey, we can't forget about Lal or B-4! XD

0-o Really, I thought it was. . . Jk, anyway. (I really like the term men-children. It's just so fun to say. I don't know why. It just is :3) Oh gosh, I love that song. I (and my dad, who I forced to [not that he doesn't like Rush]) listened to "Driven" on repeat as I practiced driving, with my dad of course, lol.

XD, I kept thinking that. I'm like the only one who calls him Echo. Everyone else apparently says Test. Lol, I guess I always had to be the different one. Maybe I should start calling him For. . . Nah, I'll leave that for some poor unlucky sucker third wheel. (preferably a hairy man child. Just because that imagery is hilarious.)

Happy Monday, lols! ^-^

Oh dear goodness, I forgot to respond to this, didn't I? I'm so sorry. :<

Wesley is nope, though his mother is nearly as flat a character. -__- She's certainly no Bones.Β

Isn't it? And so delightfully evocative. Just sort of rolls off the tongue, you know? And, d'aww, the thought of some harried, tired-looking parent being driven around car parks by his manic daughter while Driven plays on in the background is simultaneously adorable and hilarious.

Anyway, I'm also in the middle of responding to your email (!!!), so maybe we should continue this thread there, where it's less likely to be seen by certain testy eyes.

Happy Friday! ;D

PencilMelody In reply to AShadowOfCygnus [2017-03-19 05:11:49 +0000 UTC]

There is absolutely nothing wrong with forgetting, lol. I once replied to a month (or perhaps longer) old comment. So like two days is no problem.

Xd, yes. And speaking of Soongs (actually that was probably just me. So Star Trek in general then), the fic I'm writing is focused on Lore.

Men-children, man-child, and various other forms (one of my friends and I came up with multiple of these, but I can't remember them at the moment, lol.) Lol, it is quite a sight. Wait, car parks? No, I drive on the road. In the beginning, it was country roads, but now my dad has me driving on the highway (only at night when it's rather empty) and the streets leading back to our house. I almost crashed the one day. Lol, my dad almost had a heart attack. I was backing out of driveway and I guess he wasn't ready for us to go yet, so he told me to stop. . . well, I accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Yay for having another driveway complete with a car across our alley. XD, my dad literally screamed. Thank God I was quick enough to hit the brake. We ended up sitting there for five minutes while we (mainly my dad) recovered from the horror. Anyway, funny story aside. Driven is seriously the best driving song.

Lol, and of course, I responded to the email first before I saw this. For some reason, I have a feeling that there's an inside joke between you and Echo about this. (Hi, Testy :3)

Happy "Sunday"
