I think I was randomly on your page.

A couple regs blocked me because I use the word "tranny" as a polite and fun way to refer to transsexuals. They are the only people I've ever met to find this term offensive. So I put it in my signature when I saw how much a word could get to them.

Seriously. I'd rather say "That tranny Jack" than "That trans Jack" or "That trans person Jack". Trans isn't even proper english on it's own. And I firmly believe words shouldn't be given so much power, which is why I slapped it in my signature, for people to give it's place there whatever power they want

Perhaps you could use FtM or MtF instead? It's even shorter and I'd bloody well hope nobody is opposed to that.
Although just saying "Jack", would probably suffice too. It's not like current and/or previous genders matter a whole lot in everyday conversation anyway.

"Trans" reminds me, in several ways, of transportation. Not only because it's a possible abbreviation of the word transportation but also because it reminds me of terms like "trans-atlantic" AND because it reminds me of both "trains" and "trams".

Also, He's online? He told me a while ago he was gonna put his computer on stand-by and watch the telly!
