I've got work in an hour or so now. I do early shifts. I work either 5am-1pm or 4am-12pm.

12 hour days, 8 days in a row and then 6 days off.

Sounds good to have essentially a week off (and it is!!) but we end up working more than the average 40 hour week if you maths it all out.

Plus there's practically nothing to do after/before work :/ we're in the middle of the desert. No town, no shop, just rooms, a pub and a gym.

Ouch, that's painful. The week off is always good, but 8 days in a row is tough. I've done the occasional long stints of work (most was 29 days) but they were mostly 6 or 7 hours. Most hours I've done in a week is 81 at Christmas, so I can feel your pain
