Hi!
For the Maya question, I was constantly using Maya 4,5,6 and 7 PLE since I was in grade 3, so at which point I was the youngest fulltime user of Maya . PLE stands for Personal Learning Edition, which was the full version of Maya without an FBX exporter and with a watermark that said "Not For Commercial Use". When i was 12, I got Maya 8 Complete, just after Autodesk acquired Alias. We had a friend who worked at the Alias global HQ in Toronto. He managed to get us a discount before Autodesk jacked up the price.
I didnt get it for free, but Im not spoiled so that if i had asked I would have gotten it. Ive used it for 8 years.
So, the only way to get it free is probably to pirate it, but again, there are probably other, more legal, alternatives .
BTW, what game engine are you using?

i am using unity or i think we are... i think you can get maya or 3D max for free if you are in collage or university but in not there yet still just high school for me. and my group for this game idea(which im not to sure if we will ever be going through with yet) are the only 2 friends(Watchers) i have on DA. how big is your group?

hum interesting well i think my group is a little more motivated we have an artist (Daveedo) and i also think he is going to do most of the unity stuff too and we have a umm im not to sure what pikamario99 is doing yet
i think he might end up doing cut scenes and animations and i am doing most of the blender stuff.
