Hi!
Was hunting around the net for Character Model sheets and I came across you're The Road to El Dorado site. Thanks for posting Model sheets of the characters. Model sheets are so hard to come by. There used to be a great site which had Disney Model Sheets up but Disney got hissy and the owner had to take them all down or get sued. The owner changed to site and dedicated it to Dreamworks.
I was a little annoyed at this, mainly because Disney fail on so many levels at times but also because I'm an Animation Student and I wish the Studio's would release books with concept art and model sheets in them (affordable mind). It's one of those things where the companies will probably ask if Animation Students can draw the characters from said films but it's bloody hard when there's little reference to go of. Screenshots are great and all but model sheets are better.
I must admit that The Road to El Dorado a great film, I really should go and buy it on DVD.
Anyways just thought I'd say a friendly hello!

Hey thanks for the comment I'm glad you were able to find those great model sheets on my site. Like you I am also an animation student (Graduating next fall too yippie!). I know Disney has come out with some "The Art of *enter Disney movie name here*" books which contains a lot of concept art model sheets, storyboard art and stuff but they are usually expensive. My school owns some. I actually have a Pocahontas one that wasn't too expensive because it's a mini version of the book maybe about 6 inches tall and there were a few that came out.
The model sheets were actually sent to me by another fan I have no idea where she found them. But that's pretty funny that the site owner retaliated and turned their site into a DreamWorks Fan Site. If You know that address of that site could you send it to me?
I have had a few e-mails from animators that worked on the Road to El Dorado thanking me for making the site, they also told me DreamWorks LOVES people who make Fan Sites, as long as I'm not making money off if the site. I'm advertising their movies for free.
I know what you mean those model sheets are great reference, maybe Dreamworks should come out with some kind of text book for animation students with concept art and stuff. It would be great to learn from.
