No worries! It has only cooled down a little, and it is become a little wetter as well, though I'm not complaining. Only a few more weeks of summer to go! Hooray! What is it like over there? Still freezing?

Warmer here for the moment:could be as high as 9 deg today (!) but having to contend with storm Erik which is throwing gale force winds and heavy rain at us. Bring on the summer! 😎

I always had this preconceived notion that the UK had relatively sedate weather patterns! But you guys get hammered almost like we do, except it doesn't snow for us in most parts of Australia. I heard your summers are actually quite murderous!

Don’t believe everything you hear! There are many people here who think anything over 25°C is murderous!! We never see the extremes that other countries experience. The recent unbelievably cold spell in US about -50° C eclipsed our -12 in Scotland and, the lowest in the south of England was only about -6°! We have never yet broken the 100°F (37.8°C) barrier in the UK! The temperature itself isn’t a problem for the majority but the humidity can be. It makes us look a bit ridiculous though when we moan about the heat. OK we get gales and lots and lots of rain but we rarely get hurricanes or tornadoes, nor do we have monsoons! We had a gorgeous summer last year and the powers that be advised that we should stay indoors because it was hot .. it was about 33°!!  Needless to say, few obeyed!

We are baking HARDER at the moment! Never had a week full of 40s before. Lucky that the 45 degree warning today didn't materialise, but it's still 30 where I'm at, and it's close to midnight! No worries with the favouriting! I only favourite the best!
