It's a tragedy that's affected me personally greatly, though I don't know anyone involved.
It was almost more vent art than anything because of the way the media is responding.
Regardless, I am glad you want to show support to the people this has affected!

I don't know anyone that was involved, either. But since I'm bisexual, and so is my parents (and I'm pretty sure my brother's gay) and I come from a naturally gay family, it's affected me because I realized that I or anyone in my family could have been there, and could have been hurt or killed. And my boyfriend was born female, and he's transgender, and he's bi, too. It hurts me physically that anyone I know and love could have been part of that tragedy..
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for rambling.
I really do want to show my support for everyone who was in it, or is related to someone who was hurt or killed or scarred, if they made it out alive without a physical scar. Though I am scared of the public (social anxiety), I want to get the message out there that we can't choose who we love, and that we're all human, so no matter what genders we like, we should all be treated equally.

I'm genderfluid, though I lean much more towards masculine than feminine, and pansexual, which is exactly why it was so terrifying to me.
I've already been fearful of going out to a club of some sort because of my own social anxiety(especially being trans, since a lot of places are still not very trans friendly despite being queer oriented), and this has just made it so much worse- it's a big fat reminder that people like us are targets.

It's scary once you think about it and let it sink in.
I say that because while I type this, I'm just imagining the horror and pain that everyone in the club felt that night, not to mention the people who died and their families. While I was at school today I was thinking about it, then played out a scene in my head;
I'm just walking down the street with my boyfriend, holding hands, when all of a sudden shots are fired, and we both fall next to each other, just because we love each other. It's really not okay that it's happening daily to people just like us, just because of them not liking their gender and wanting to be another, or just falling in love with the same gender that they are. It's terrible to know that people are being killed every day just because of it, and it hurts me physically and mentally.
My parents are affected, too, and it's..it's just terrible.

I don't currently have a partner, but I can only imagine the terror of losing the one you love, simply because you love each other.
What's worst for me is that, despite the fact that I live in a fairly tolerant city, my mother doesn't care at all- she's one of the people blaming it on gun control.
And the rest of my family... well, they're even worse.

It's terrible.
It's not gun control, although putting limits on guns could help. It's not because of their religion, though some are against the LGBT community.
It's human hatred of their own kind, which I don't get. We all have (on average) the same skeleton. We all have a heart that pumps blood throughout our body. We all are born from a mother, and we are all human. So why? Just because we love someone, and we can't control it, we are hated. It's uncontrollable, it's love. We follow our hearts, and some people's might as well be made out of stone.
