Glint trotted forward dodging the large tree's that seemed to touch the sky and foliage. By her side was a dark gray spotted tom cat who limped slightly due to a bruised shoulder from Glint's recent training. Today his large mentor decided that they would do something special today. He recognized the scents around him as he tried to catch up with his mentor. The rogues where nearby and the fur on his neck rose.

From the corner of her dark green eye the Vice could see that her apprentice was nervous. She had made the decision that today was the day she would tell the young tom cat who she really was. She made a plan that she would take him to the main League camp. If he attacked he would be killed on the spot, easy as that.

She pounced out of the bushes noticing Thornheart's crimson gaze on her. Glint smiled as Rainpaw pounced out of the bushes and froze at the sight of the League leader. Last time he had seen the chestnut colored tom lot's of cats had been killed.

The Rogue leader stood up at the sight of his vice, a grin spread across his face as he spotted the grey apprentice standing beside her. "Ah! Is that the apprentice you told me about when i met up with Blackstar? My my he looks like a strong and brave young fighter." he meowed, flicking his tail in sign that the two cats could approach him without fear nor need of submission. 

"There is no need to fear us fledgling. We only act the way you've seen us do around those who force others to live under the code, here we are a family and you are welcome to join it." Thornheart's crimson eyes were sparkling with amusement, it had been a while since he had the opportunity to sit down and talk with clan newbies and he was looking forward to finding out more about this young tom that had caused his clan leader and deputy so much distress by the simple knowledge that someone in their clan was on the League's side. "What's your name?"

Glint nodded in response to her leader looking proud of the you tom her stood beside her. Rainpaw looked slightly nervous for a few moments, looking around as if he was trying to find an escape route but he relaxed a bit after the older tom complemented him but had no idea why. Glint walked towards Thornheart and paused to look at the young tom who stood there for a few moments before rushing after the she-cat not wanting to leaver her side as he trust no other cat around the area. Glint sat down in front of the tom and looked over to Rainpaw who did the same but with more hesitation. 

Rainpaw listened to the chestnut tom with a look of surprise and interest in his good eye. As most clan cats he thought of the rogues to be selfish killers who murdered others for their own benefit's. He considered leaving Stoneclan for awhile now due to feeling guilty due to the fact that he murdered his own mentor as well as the terrible leadership that his clan was going through. This seemed like the best option at the moment for him as he didn't want to become a loner due to the loneliness or a kitty-pet because that would ruin his pride. "I am Rainpaw, it a pleasure to meet you face to face." He said with a clear voice as he looked into the crimson gaze of the tom.

"Welcome to the League young Rainpaw." Thornheart purred as he leaped down from his ledge, "Since you have already passed the requirements needed in exchange for your freedom of the code, you are free to choose yourself a different name to go by if you dislike your clan one."

Only a few clan cats changed their names, those who did showed true bravery as it signified that they were parting with what had harmed them. "You are not required to." He added, the leader himself had kept his clan name, occasionally going around with another one if he was dealing with cats who did not know him...however things had changed and his name meant fear to the clans. Only the really courageous dared approach him.

Glint was surprised at her apprentices behavior as he seemed to quickly change from a nervous kit to a brave warrior in a matter of seconds. She smirked proud of herself for training such a strong and loyal cat. The fluffy she-cat hoped that the tom changed his name though as she hated the way fledglings in the clans all had the same suffix for her own reasons. She looked at the younger tom with hopeful eyes.

Rainpaw slightly cringed as he mentioned the requirements but he tried to keep calm and look brave.  He started to think of some different names for himself as he never really liked the name Rainpaw.

"You can always make up your mind another time." the chestnut and maroon tom purred, his tail flicking as he cast a glance towards his vice, "Since you're still apart of Stoneclan you will need to go by the name Rainpaw over there anyways...however I hope you understand that when in times of war you'll loyalty will be towards us."
Turning his attention back on the apprentice Thornheart fixed the young tom with crimson eyes, he showed no emotion as he spoke him next words coldly, "I must warn you, if you are to show any hesitation or do anything that may endanger our family. Your fellows will not hesitate to eliminate you if it is what is necessary to protect us all."

He sighed knowing that he didn't have to come up with his new name just yet but kept listening to Thornheart his ears twitching. The spotted apprentice felt his jaw's tighten as  the older tom mentioned the consequences in betraying the rogues and he nodded fiercely in response to his superior's statement. As much as he didn't like that rule he seemed to understand the reasoning behind it. He looked around the area seeing all the different cats who where in the area some that where looking right at him with a curious glint in their eyes. Thornheart was right, they where all like family here. "I understand. That's all he said as he looked back at the League's founder.

"Very good." the tom purred, as he moved back to regain his position on perch, he felt confident to know that he could trust his Vice to recruit the right kind of cats. Not too long ago he recalled she'd let a possible valuable kit slip away as well as loose on theirs. But at least she had the loyalty of the League in mind and that was what needed to be put first when dealing with new recruits. All else could easily be done by his own members depending on their personality, "Since you have already done what is necessary to prove that you are apt to joining us I see no harm in having Glint tour you around our camp. Afterwards i'd like to hear what in Stoneclan has encouraged you to leave?"

Rainpaw looked uneasy, not sure what his reason's where for joining this group. Glint noticed his uneasiness blinked, waiting for a response. It seemed that Thornheart was pleased with her for finding a decent recruit and she didn't want the pleasure to change to disappointment. "The clan's system seems, well, wrong. Stoneclan has been living under a terrible leadership. I don't want to follow a cat who doesn't know how to lead properly." He mewed as that was the best he could come up with at the moment. He had no idea why he was joining this group. His family, Tinyspark would feel betrayed.

The rogue leader tilted his head, seemingly pondering over the tom's response for a few seconds before turning his gaze back to the apprentice. "Your reasons are completely understandable. I'm certain you will fit in among our family." Thornheart glanced in direction of his Vice, would it be too soon to show this newcomer around their camp? He trusted her enough to know that if she believed this cat was good enough to join the rogues...He had to be careful with clan cats, some could possibly be spies acting for their leader. Showing them to their base camp would endanger every young kit and fledgling there.

Rainpaw sighed and noticed a change in the older tom's eyes. It seemed like he didn't trust him yet and he understood that as he had previously been a member of an enemy group. He wanted to prove himself to his new family some how but he would feel guilty if he killed anyone in Stoneclan. Rainpaw scowled himself knowing how weak he was now, he just had to figure out a way to not care anymore. Glint caught Thornheart's eye thinking the same thing. She didn't think Rainpaw would betray her as they where now like family but she knew that there was a chance that he would endanger the group.

"Why don't you take him to visit the nursery? I'm certain some of the kits will love to meet new family members." Thornheart meowed, his gaze seemingly softening at the thought of the young future of the group, he tended to take outsiders to visit the nursery first since many tended to mistake the League for bloodthirsty and cold killers. If he were to introduce new cats to their family he had to make them understand there was more to them than the tales of their ways and how they treated the clans. Some tended to leave the League for different reasons, some disliked their method of exchanging life for freedom while a few actually left disappointed to find out they were a family. Starting by Rainpaw's reaction to the kits would be a good way to find out whether or not he would dare bring the clans here...knowing that only the vicious ones in the group actually bothered to kill kits telling Stoneclan would create more death of kits than the massacre did. 

(How about we RP some NPC kits and queens for now? Thorny's aim is to make him meet the good side of the league now that he has met the terms of the bad one)

Glint smiled a bit even if she hated kits, these one's treated her with respect. She bowed her head at Thornheart and looked at her apprentice as she stood raising her tail indicating the young tom to follow her. Rainpaw stood up as she started to walk away dashing to her side not yet used to the cats around him. He hadn't really thought about how the League raised their kits, so he was slightly surprised that they had a nursery. He mentally scowled himself for being so stupid, of course they had a nursery! Glint stopped as a fluffy white kitten jumped out of some nearby foliage laughing loudly. Rainpaw looked at the kit and smiled, remembering when he was around that age.

Thornheart watched the two cats walk off, he wasn't going to follow them as he knew that he wouldn't be able to handle it. When around kits he wouldn't hesitate to let them play fight with him which he preferred not to let a clan cat know, turning his back on the nursery the tom resumed his watch over the clearing, keeping an ear out for anything his vice and her fledgling could say.
Meanwhile a small pale grey spotted she-kit leaped towards the white kit, emerging silently out of the foliage. It almost looked as if she’d succeed her attempt to land on the laughing kit when it ducked, sailing over it the she-cat tumbled to the ground as she landed in front of Rainpaw’s feet. “Hello!” she meowed, “Are you the one my mom has been telling us about?”

The she-kit got to her paws, her gaze immediately drawn towards Glint. But it wasn’t fear the shone in her eyes like it would for most clan cats, it was awe...awe to the fact such a talented rogue she was told so much about would train a clan apprentice and not them. “You’re training with a vice!! Wow your so lucky!”

Rainpaw chuckled softly and responded with a "Not really sure little one. Not sure if I am that lucky though, she can sometimes be really grumpy." He gave Glint a look who seemed to pouting slightly at his choose of words but didn't scowl him because she knew it was a joke. Glint playfully cuffed the tom in the ears and rolled her eyes in a better mood then usual. Glint liked to feel like she was respected by cats and it was nice to see that the kits treated her like she was a god "Oh and watch out." He warned the little gray kit and the fluffy tom jumped towards the she-kit.

The young kit turned in time to meet the white kit as it crashed into her. Putting all her weight on her hind paws she pushed it off, rolling on top of him. She let out a triumphant cry, “Ha! You can’t beat me! Just you see! One day I’ll become a renowned protector! I’ll make sure to keep everyone safe!” . Having already forgotten about Rainpaw the she-kit pinned her opponent to the ground, eyes sparkling. After a few seconds of tussling she backed away, letting the kit stand up.

The white tom lay his cheek on the dusty floor and stuck out his tongue pretending to be dead "You have killed me oh great protector!" Rainpaw gave a soft chuckle at the kits immaturity and rolled his eyes. The kit stood up his blue eyes sparkling before charging forward towards the rogue vice, and pounced on her overly fluffy tail. Glint looked at the kit with a surprise look in her gaze but instead of getting mad at the kit she raised her tail high into the air and the kit slid off of it.

The young she-kit giggled at the look of surprise on Rainpaw's face. Racing over to Glint's side she squealed playfully, trying to catch her sibling as the white kit tried to take hold of the vice's tail. She let out a squeak as her brother suddenly jumped up, and once he was high enough to kick her using her head as a way to gain more height. The grey rogue let out a small hiss in annoyance as she tried to pull the tomkit down, only able to grab the tip of his tiny tail as it dangled from Glint's.

The white tom released a loud squeak as his sister grabbed onto his stubby tail. He released the tail and almost fell on top of the gray she-kit. The tom looked over to the grey kit and stuck out his tongue at her with a pout on his face. Glint looked at the kits beside her and crouched down beside the kits to whisper in their tiny ears "I know a good game you to can play. It's called attack the badger. See that blue-gray spotted tom over there?" She pointed her tail at Rainpaw who seemed to have no idea what was going on at the moment "He is the badger and you to have to take him down. Got it?"

(Ok, so their father was a rogue and their mother a streamclan warrior. They both agreed with the League's beliefs since clans code forbad relationships other than in the clan. Their mother had kept the father's name secret from her clan but when they were 2 moons old their mother took them to visit their father. Her clanmates found out and attacked both cats, brutally killing them for being supportive of the league.  They then left the kits to die for being rogue blood, and that's why these kits despise the clans and Streamclan in specific. They are fine with those who work for the League though since they survived because of a clan cat who was also working for the League who took them there so they could live). 

Feeling the weight on top of her shift as the tomkit jumped to his feet and raced towards Rainpaw. Standing up the grey she-kit shook the dirt off, glaring at her brother for having made her look like a fool in front of one of the cats she admired. But her anger was short lasted as the laughter of her brother when he tackled the newcomer brought a large grin to her face as she charged into battle. Leaping onto the tom's shoulder while letting out a battle cry, "Your going down oh mighty badger!!"

(Just want to make it clear I'm totally gonna draw this scene. Cute Glint hanging out with kits is a thing to cherish)

First Rainpaw felt something run into his side causing him to stumble back then he felt weight on his shoulders. He gave a soft mew of surprised before realizing what was going on. He smirked, making his voice deep and loud "Oh look, lunch!" He turned his head and attempted to get the little she-cat on his back. Meanwhile the fluffy white tom pounced forwards, aiming for the apprentices chest.

(Oh yes! Glint for once is being adorable! AHhH)

(Poor kitties... but it's through the rogue kits that the League can truly have it's good intentional side come to light)

As the tom shifted underneath her the she-kit let out a thrilled cry, happily batting at his head with her hind as Rainpaw tried to remove her from his back, but even as she moved the kit kept a firm grip on him as she continued to laugh in delight as she rod around when the grey Stoneclan tom attempted to shake her off.
"You're going down mighty badger! You won't be eating any kits tonight!" she yelled victoriously as she watched her brother charge right into the distracted apprentice's tummy, jamming into him with full force that the white kit could muster.

(Haha! xD Especially since this shows she isn't some kit killers that the clan cats view her as. btw once the event begins we should have dat rp that we discussed. A kit going missing could cause issues among the clans, especially if she leaves tufts of fur from another cat she comes across *cough*

Glint let out a loud laugh at the sight of her apprentice as he tried to get the grey she-cat off of his back and stop the little fluffy tom from knocking him over. Rainpaw on the other paw was having lots of fun as he rolled to his side and pawed at the white kit's face, trying to stop him from pouncing on his face.

(Glint is a strange cat. First she tries to kill a kit and now she is playing with them XD. yes! I have been waiting for it to happen!

(That's what makes this all more interesting! I may do a short story about a rogue cat once I've finished introducing them in Brightpaw's fate Final chapter. There's this one song too from Balto where the good wolves sing about change and the bad ones about staying. It just made me think of the rogue's want to change xD)

The grey kit giggled as she rode around on the apprentice's back. At least the tom was more occupied with her brother. Climbing carefully up his back the she-cat reached Rainpaw's head. She just as she was about to let out a victorious cry the tom shifted, causing her to fly overtop and crashing into her brother 

(Actually a lot of rogues are like that. Any cat who is a part of the clans they act mean and vicious to, even kits. While with rogues they are entirely different, much nicer and stuff. Even Thornheart is a little that way even if he's more fair to clan cats since he believes in allowing them a chance to change their mind)

The white kitten let out an strange sounding screech as his sister was thrown into him, causing him to tumble into some nearby foliage. Cats nearby who had heard the kitten release the strange cry where looking to see what was going on. Some looked annoyed while others including Rainpaw and Glint had amusement in their gazes. The white kitten looked embarrassed for a moment before charging at Rainpaw giggling madly. The speckled apprentice didn't expect the little tom to attack so he was easily knocked over by the kit.

(YES!! It's called the "Grand Design". I keep on picturing Thornheart as Navathough his voice is so old omg while Black, Alder or Night would be Niju. Aleu i'm not 100% who it could be matched up with...my first thought had been Brightsoul but now i'm more edging towards Twinkit. Because with Alder as Niju it would match up in quite a fun manner xD count on me to take the *good guys* of a movie and match their intentions with the League's.)

The little gray kit just sat in the dust watching her brother continue attempting to knock the apprentice around. She felt too tired to try climbing the newcomer again, especially if he would just end up throwing her off again. Letting out a yawn the kit trotted over to Glint's side, watching careful as her brother continued to get knocked around, she didn't want him to end up landing on her like she had on him. "Miss Glint?" she meowed sitting down beside the Vice as she tried not to look too proud by the fact she was in close approximation to a high ranking cat. "Do you know when we'll be trained to be assessed?"

While Rainpaw kept the little fluffy kitten busy Glint looked down at the little gray kit approach her. The she-cat wasn't sure how to answer the question due to the lack of knowledge of their current age. She shrugged and mewed "Sorry, I am not sure. Maybe next time you see Thornheart you can ask him." The fluffy she-cat looked around her, trying to find the familiar maroon and chestnut pelt of her superior.

(Yaa! I'm currently torn between Twinkit and Ripplegaze now, since Ripple has recently had a change of opinion on Thornheart which could possibly make her fit in even better than Twin would)

The little kit cast a glance around the clearing but the League leader was nowhere to be seen. Letting out a disappointed sigh the grey she-kit slump down on the dirty ground. "I'm scared to bother him...what if he's busy and i distract him during important planning?". She meowed, shaking her head. She knew the League leader was easily approachable seeing him interact kindly with her when she was first brought in and how he spoke kindly with all kits. But still it was a worry she couldn't push out of her head.

The kit had finally had grown tired of playing and went over to his sister and Glint, curious about what the where talking about. Rainpaw glanced up at the sky, noticing how late it was getting but he honestly didn't want to go but he knew he would be questioned for it if he didn't get back soon. He glanced at Glint as she chuckled softly "Just try talking to him when he is sunning himself or something, he likes you little hairballs." That's when she glanced at her apprentice noticing his worried look "Looks like we will have to go soon."

The grey she-kit nodded politely at the Vice, she hadn't tried that before having believed that when the tom was surveilling camp it was one of those do not disturb moments. But if the large white and black she-cat said so then she'd likely try that when the chance arose. Smiling towards her sibling the young rogue kit moved away from Glint's side to approach the tom, giving him an affectionate nudge. "Why don't we go see what the other kits are up to?" she meowed casting a look at Rainpaw and the Vice who seemed ready to leave, "We shouldn't keep the older cats too busy. They have duties to work on..."
