No problem, I'm very fascinated by this sort of stuff and am interested to see where it goes.^^ I was especially interested in the political stuff of Avalar, a lot of writers just gloss over that sort of stuff usually which is a shame.

Lol yep, read the comparison of how Avalar political parties would line up in the Kaiserreich timeline and also the history of Avalar's politics. Very interesting stuff though I personally felt the dragons in setting embraced 'human values' a little too easily given how often the more 'left' leaning parties in setting seem to get voted into office. I've got to drop by and start talking to you two again though, good times and I might get some ideas for my future books. XD

Ah, I might have worded it wrong; not all the Jivvy parties were for abandoning dragon values in favour of human ones (well, the New Jivvies were, but they didn't start getting popular enough to lead until later on), it's more that they advocated modernising in some places and borrowing the odd human system...think of them more as progressive parties than anti-dragon culture parties. 

Heh, we've done a fair bit of writing since you were last here...did you see the rewrite of Unus Ad Alterum?

Ah okay, I always typically interpret dragons as very prideful beings and not the ones who would let themselves feel 'dictated' to in terms of practices. Huh, does that mean the New Jivvies are trying to phase out dragon cultural practices and are now in a position to do it in that case based on what you said? Just making sure I understand the worldbuilding.

I have not. I believe the last time we all spoke it was still in the rewriting phase so I was just waiting. Plus there's just so much story you two have written I had no idea where in the world to start.

Well, not so much phase it out completely (it'd take years for them to pull off that many reforms), just implement classical liberal reforms and push towards an unregulated free market and perhaps a neoliberal system...they see Avalar's systems as being outdated relics that prevent people from becoming mad crazy rich like in certain other states. Think of them as your bog-standard centre-right party that favours tax cuts and big business and a pullback of government interference; they'll be able to implement the odd new system but they won't be able to completely reshape the state in their short time ruling.

Ah, right.
Well, we're slowly taking steps to create a proper opening and plug the gaps in the earlier parts of Ddraig's life, and there is a section on the group recommending where to start...still, since you're familiar enough with the world, I'd recommend having a read of the new Unus Ad Alterum! It's quite a different beast now; lots of new scenes and rewritten subplots, a new antagonist responsible for the curse on Ddraig, Alexander's character and motivations are rewritten (as are how he and Ddraig reconcile), and there are a bunch of new ideas that we had over the years worked in left right and centre!
