The remembrance of the Great War inspired my submission of "Lest we forget..."
It's a hundred years since the conflict. Poppies, cornflowers and forget me nots are symbols of hope and remembrance in various nations - "Lest we forget" and history repeats itself...

The "First by reflection..." white cottage by the canal in Wales gained a lot of approval among deviants. Unfortunately it's not for sale, although many of you expressed a wish to move in!

I didn't request to buy the photo or if it was for sale which is mentioned in what you had posted and this is a form of advertising and implies I had sought to purchase the photo when I didn't.
I also don't want other deviants who see my profile page thinking I'm currently looking into buying art when I'm not.
It's nothing personal but I have to be firm on my policy.
I had a huge spam problem about two years ago on my main profile page with people placing links to their other galleries, personal sites, other deviations and groups I had no interest in or had not joined after favoriting or commenting on them for awhile and after I cracked down it went away. They weren't bots or fake accounts either, hence being firm.
DA comment signatures below the actual comment are fine, links to the deviation I had commented on and groups I joined welcoming since I chose to join them unless they keep posting on my main page.

I think I see your problem but to be honest I've only once put a submission up for sale at the request of a deviant (who didn't go for it even then!). I think the misunderstanding came as I said - 'Unfortunately it is not for sale' in my reply. What I was jokingly referring to was NOT the photograph BUT the cottage in the picture!!! I hope that clears up the misunderstanding Sarah

'Practice makes perfect' they say... I always think the public fight against perfection in general these days. The majority are just rude and demanding and I know, from my own profession as an Optometrist, that some people can't be helped even when you are totally on their side. Glad you are beginning to develop your own effective coping strategies in your career - keep working at it Sarah
