Thank you.

Hopefully I can post a bunch of stuff in the near future while I figure out how to cast stuff in resin without getting lung cancer.

I've worked with resin once. It was a complete and utter failure. Haven't touched it since.

How so?

PepperTreeArt In reply to BuildingDaRobots [2012-07-10 19:27:53 +0000 UTC]

Misjudged the amount of catalyst I needed to use in the other layers. It got too hot and shattered the piece.

Explosions are their own kind of success.

Lol, I suppose so! It was definitely not something I was expecting to happen. XD

Resins dangerous stuff, its worrying how casual people (soon to have lung cancer) are with it on places like youtube.

It is. Even outside well away from the house the fumes were almost overwhelming. I'm sticking to scenic water from now on when I need to use any clear liquids for my foods.

what type do you use?

Masks are a life safer. I almost have another diorama done, this time 1/1700. The models are about a 3rd the size of a paper clip

It's Woodland Scenics' Realistic Water. It was the only one I could find close by, since shipping costs ordering it off eBay were a bit too high for me. If you were asking about the resin, it's whatever Michael's carries (which may be the problem ).

Oh wow, I can't wait to see it!

I use that stuff too, its pretty sweet.

The robots are as big as your eclairs. Its scary.
