Thanks for your nice comment on 'Webworm Moth Portrait.' I've had the lens for a while, used it a lot in last spring, but haven't used it much lately. The 100mm macro lens is such a great all around lens, I tend to use it more.

was a peasure
if you don't want it... sell it to me *g*
the 100mm goes to 1:1, but with the 65mm you can do 5:1 don't you?
at the moment i'm tending to a 105mm macro from sigma.

Thanks for your great comment on 'Hummingbird Moth - 05.' This was taken with the Canon 2.8 100mm macro lens.

Thanks for the question. To get The dark darkground I use my ringlight at the -1 stop setting. This give me a soft even light on the forground and cause the camera to under expose the background. And, if that is not enough, I use the burning tool in photoshop to finish the job.

boron [2005-07-06 19:31:07 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for your nice comment on 'Thirsty Soldier' and on 'Purple Worm.' I use a Canon 20D camera with a Canon 100mm macro lens or a Canon MP-E 65mm Macro lens.
