Depends on what Eric Cartman you might refer to, if it is the show then it is metaphysically imposible as one is just an imaginary figure created by moving papers, this is because he can give no real emotion, thoughts or any thinking process. THOUGH, one can consider an inanimate object a friend due to some sentimental attachement to the object. If you meant an Eric Cartman that lives in South Park, then it depends, because to be a friend of someone you must know said person beyond the realm of basics and both must have a simple positive relationship between each other.

I said it because your logic is flawed. Eric Cartman is my favorite character in South Park, whom I consider to be one of the best comedy shows out there, but at the same time he is a complete psychopath and incapable of even the most basic form of empathy. He is the very definition of someone you cannot possibly be a friend with, but he fits your first definition.

Now you ad two new conditions: interaction and intimacy, the first definition requires the protect to be an actual subject the second I’m not sure what entails, perhaps you could clarify it for me.

To clarify, you must know to some extent said person and enjoy his company to consider him as a friend.

Knowing that, that was your original view about Cartman then I pressume that you know for a fact that it is imposible to befriend a psycopath and it is also imposible to befriend someone with Aspergers. Is that right?

Now there, you misunderstood my argument. The argument was in favour of making friends, I asked you personally if it is imposible for a person with problems with social conduct to make friends. The answer that I would be looking for would be no.
