When you click the hyperlink that is a username, you're taken to that person's profile, from there you'll see a button "+watch" near the upper right corner of the screen, click there, click "okay" and you're set.
Then you can look in people's galleries, read their descriptions, etc. There are little tags on top that say "gallery" etc, and those are really useful when you can't find someone's gallery in the widgets they have displayed.
