The same happens to me, I gave up drawing humans just for that, I've practicing but I never got better >.<
I plan to do a picture to tribute a fangame but I don't want to ruin the game's image just for a bad skecth xD

Intact it's all I ever really draw, I used to draw sonic characters but I'm not to into Sonic anymore, I don't like the new Sonic Boom series very much.
And What's the game?

Honestly, I don't like the Sonic Boom videogames, but the TV show, in my opinion,it's not that bad, it made me smile in some parts.
I also tried to draw Sonic characters but I always felt I did the head too big. But I'm not really into the Sonic fandom anymore I just find many pictures of 'mature content' or 'original characters'.
Oh, fangame's name is Mother 4 from the Mother series I was never interested in the Mother games until like two months ago, I find them interesting and I think they deserve more fans, only one game of the three came to the rest of the world. About the fangame, some fans want another succesor to the series and they have been working on the (fan)game like about 8 years and it may come out this summer. I saw the Gameplay and Teaser trailer and they look amazing 
I love how it caught the essence Β and how similar it is to the Mother series, yet unique and original at the same time. They even made the backgrounds and music for the battles themselves! Well, actually, they made everything themselves.

The Tv show's not Terrible, I did like the Episode with Tails' Robot that was reading their minds, I liked what Eggman made it say about Knuckles.
And I also make heads too big on Humans, It's hard to get it the right size to me.
I don't really know much about mother, but I can check the video out a little later.
Also, I probably won't be here on Sunday and Monday just so you know, I'm supposed to be visiting my great grandparents and they Live hours Away from me, I don't think I'll have internet connection there, either.
