2 sheets of foamboard, glued around a thick chipboard, and eventually i'll finish papermacheing it and it'll be even sturdier

and well you never asked, i do loads of props, and am trying to figure out some more stuff to make, also i'm trying to find something to use as a barrel for my bolt pistol lol

Well I had no idea you went to cons and such till you posted it the other day on FB XD

It's kinda funny because last year I wanted to do a .hack//SIGN group and perform in the masqerade with this song I found that fits them so perfectly...but the biggest obsticale was money for the clothes and props!

but now that I've actually worked with foam sheets and cardboard and such...( [link] ) I feel I could attempt other cosplays now. But now that I know I have a friend who makes props, that makes things even sweeter! XD

lol yeah, unfortunately i missed AnimeNext this year (probably good since i still don't have my cosplay done haha) and Dexcon was the first one i went to this year

that Aku costume is pretty bitching! very well made actually is it hard to see out of?

Thanks! I can't see out of it at all...XD I had to have Mike tell me when I could take the mask off after people took pictures XD I have to modify it somehow so I can see...and breathe...XDD! but it was really popular so it's gonna make a comeback next year fo sho

I haven't been to any other con besides ANext...this year was my 7th year XD

Next year I have alot of cosplays I want to do, but I have to save save save...and depending on what it is, work work work. Hopefully I can find a cosplay that I am able to make again. My blood, sweat, and tears went into Aku and it all paid off XD

idk what it is about home-made cosplays but they always seem to be better than store bought crap, i hope you can make a good one! and hopefully i'll have my cosplay ready for NEXT AnimeNext haha

I frequent a bunch of cons, not just anime, also gaming cons, if i'd managed to get there this year would have been my 6th (didn't go last year either cause of prior "engagements" but i've decided to not go out with someone who doesn't like my hobbies XD)

Yeah, the cosplays I wanna do, some have costumes I can buy, and others don't have ones I can buy...and like I said before, I'm no seamstress D: You should come with us next ANext!!!

lol sometimes you don't have to be a seamstress, just think outside the box a little, also, if you need some props made oints to self:

i'd love to go with you guys next year, i love Anime cons and anime and being around the people i can connect with better
