Is this psydub?

Its good, but its not Psydub.  It has a specific beat pattern. You can hear the "dub" from 2mins in -  www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW9XXd…

The yadi yadi bit? Just sounds like 4/4 hard in the front then switches to the reggae syncopated off beat.
Sorry :] All these sub-genres get annoying, I listen to a lot of music.
But, the link relaxed me, that's a good thing.

I really like the choice of samples that go with the "psy" genres, References to spiritualism and the "Goa / Indian" soundscapes
This track has Alan Watts in it:  youtu.be/6NON4JYw3F8 - Ott is a master in this "sub-genre".
You are right though too many genres.  - I Just tend to stick to general Psychedelic music.

The Psytrance is less relaxing, but I use it to trance so I can work on something intensely.

That's a decent song, heard some other good stuff from Ott too. 02-D2!
I guess I like a lot of music that begins with PSY, from psybient to psychobilly.
I listen to a lot of stoner rock lately (still regret the label for this genre).

I just watched a show about raves, the scene has changed quite a bit since I was younger.

I used to go to lots of "free parties" and they would play lots of Jungle and House, but it never really clicked.
wasn't melodic or of any real substance for me; I grew up with classical music my whole life, It wasn't until I was say 12 or 13 before I ever listened to anything else!
I then swapped to metal (long story but worked for a metal record label).  Ended up being disillusioned by the scene.

Then I discovered psytrance at a festival we were invited to come to
Found myself mesmerized by it, while totally sober!, Actually ended up dancing for 2 days non stop
2 years later; after living as a "new age traveler"  with drug induced psychosis, I came out sain but with a strong appreciation for the psychedelic

Ever since I've used it as a tool to get my heat rate up, Its sort of "brutally meditative"
