No problem! I should really be thinking about uploading some content too. But I'm at uni and still settling in... Needless to say I don't have much time. I did colour in a black and white photo of a B-36 though... Not sure if that would be worth uploading, or whether it would be infringing copyrights. Ā Ā

No Problem!! It's a great model! Have to say that I do envy your ability to make cars! I just can't seem to make them without mucking something up. I should probably watch a few tutorials, but I'm kind of busy at the moment

i also need to watch tutorials, i haven't seen any one about making cars and i don't know the correct method to do it, especially when it compes to topology and geometry

i don't think you can spam with faving, but i do appreciate when someone picks his favorites, and not faving everything in a row! and most of all i appreciate the comments, not just "nice job, etc" but the ones that describe what they like, what they would like to see, etc.

I agree! I have to ask though, are they all based on aircraft that have in one way or another been considered as proper aircraft (Concepts and such like), or are some your own designs as well?Ā

some aircrafts are someone elses concept that don't have yet a proper free 3d model, but there are some original designs by me (those designated Da-XX) and some redesigns like my version of F/A-24 NATF, F/A-2 Fawn, PAK FA (i made the stealthy designed hull panels), the MiG-LFI (seen only in the All-in-One pictures), etc... most of the time when i do concepts i don't replicate the plane exactly, because when i model them i have to find 3D solutions for the placement of the plane's parts, mainly where to put the landing gear and the weapon bays.
from the total of 26 models i have done, 7 are my original designs, only 1 real plane i model - the F-35, 6 models based on someone else's concept from deviantart (with a light touch from me) and the rest are redesigns of different concepts from around the net
PS: EDI is made using a pencil 5 view hand drawing i did years ago on a winter vacations under the inspiration of the movie, although i tried to keep it as close to the movie, the belly has suffered some changes since i couldn't fit there the weapon bays and the air ducts, and even now the plane still doesn't have enough space for the payload you see in the movie

Movie magic!! I'm having a few problems with my models bump mapping for the panels. For some reason GIMP won't open the images so I can edit them, so it's going to be done a lot later than intended! I have to say you're DA-37 looks pretty awesome! It's engines look a little too close together though, other than that it's really good! Ā Ā

Thank you, it's my first original design, and i intend to rework it. Although i don't know how it's better, to start it from scrath, or to modify the existing model... Still thinking on that. As for bump mapping, it's a major problem for me as well, though i have no problem in editing it, but i can't create a UVmap right from Sketchup...

Maybe remodel it as a different role aircraft, like a fighter bomber or electronic warfare? Gives you an excuse to start from scratch and add an extra aircraft to the set at the same time! Ā

it seems that your entry won't submit to the appropriate folder, it's maybe because the image is too large (or because it's png)? try uploading a smaller jpeg version and try with it

try a small version with 1024x768 or similar with jpeg, maybe you'll get lucky

I'm not that good! There are plenty of people out there that do picture perfect models that I really envy. But it's nice to know people enjoy looking at my renders, so thank you!!Ā

you don't need to make perfect arts to have watchers, you make good renderings and all you need is to make people look at your arts and you'll eventually get watchers
i recommend you to joing some groups and put your arts inside them (look at my profile page and look for some groups there)
also if you give llamas and favorite other artists works and watch them, you will have more chances
