Finally hit the winter wall - so it must be clean up time! I don't know about you, but I always end my year by making sense of all the paper and files that accumulate over the course of the year.Β

Where I grew up I never encountered much french-speaking personally. I've lived in two other places since then, in my current one I don't hear it often either, but the last placed I lived I dealt with french-speaking families quite a bit. I personally never learned the language myself, and while its not super prominent in British Columbia, its certainly growing in popularity.Β
We are a bilingual country, but BC primarily speaks English. You'll see more french in Saskatchewan, and of course Quebec and its neighbors.Β
Its not an ignorant question ^.^ You aren't likely to know if you're not from here. I think you're brave for asking, and that's commendable. ^.^

Oh, that's so cool! I wish we had so many languages over here. I feel silly only speaking one language, and I don't even speak it all that well >.<

well, I guess you already speak very well english, and, it's not as if it was an " useless" language and... sometimes it's not that good to have that much different languages, because if you don't know how to speak them fluently it creates some barriers between people :c

I write English very well, most of the time , but I don't speak it very well. Two or more speech impediments, and dyslexia only makes it more complicated ^.^ I guess I'm coming from a writers perspective with language normally, since you are right, partial language knowledge is more of a barrier-maker than a complete lack of know-how. The influence of other languages is almost essential in my writing, so I get excited whenever I encounter them ^.^

That's always good to think like that c: i also really like to learn about how a language works, i mean the thought behind it, it's always interesting, all the languages are awesome for me c: i still have a preference for the symbols used to write the korean language, it's less complexe than our alphabet and works awesomely c:
