They are, but, it depends on what company you buy from and what size they are.
Bobobie and Resin Soul do very cheap dolls, whether they're big or small.
Iplehouse, Soom seem to do very expensive dolls whether they're big or small.

Bobobie and Resin Soul make very similar dolls, but I think the difference between them is the joints. I can't be 100% certain, but if you ever wanted, I can find out for you. lol ^^
