Your drawing is beautiful for beginners but its time you move to the next step.

This time draw the curve larger(That's what she said), and draw the lines without moving the pencil much , keep practicing until you get the hang of it.

You can experiment with different styles if you want , maybe you can come up with something new, as for proportion , drawing line is important as usual but you can use ruler to measure it if necessary(Havent tried that one), but only if you wanted to draw the character looking forward to the people or draw ref.

Drawing pressure applies , sometime you have to change how hard to press on the paper to change the thickness of the lines.
