Well, I heard somewhere (can't remember where xD) that each class goes after either Imperial, Rebellious or Transform. Imperial is what the character would be expected to do, rebellious is the evil-ish one, and transform is something different. o_O Hope that helped!
I'm trying to write a backstory for mine. Proving to be more difficult than I thought xD Already written and scrapped two of them...

Think I kinda got it now... ish... meh, it'll do. Here goes... She overuses magic and as a consequence she finds out her personality is slowly being ripped to shreds (owow quite dark o_O) The only way to 'apparently' save it is to collect El to reform. So she runs away from home to become a Chaser (person who runs out to find shards). As much as I've got so far! I like it so much more than my original idea <3
Oyeah, and her weapon is gonna be palms (unless I find something better ;- inspired by Kid Icarus Uprising. 
You could possibly have a mode where his memories are deleted and he becomes a heartless monster? :3 (Sorry, I'm in an evil mood today > )

Well as a chaser she needs something easy to move around with. like a whip or double smg's
and forvthe memory part well
1 somebody would pull a spell on her to do that
2 she hits her head and gets amnesia
