I read the whole thing. Read some of it twice, and I like it. I never defined the difference between religion and Christianity like that before, and it made me think. I haven't been a full on christian, I'm willing to admit that, but I'm proud to call my self a christian, because I've recently given faith into the Lord and I have become a stronger christian because of what life is. Life is struggling and pain, and like you said you can try to deal with it yourself or leave it to drugs, etc, but in the end, you have to have a strong relationship with God to make it through life.

I would encourage you to get to you Him better, and to remember that in times of suffering it is probably His way of getting our attention back to Him.
