Howdy,
Just wondering, you got a 3D printer right? Does it 3D read very high poly meshes or do they have to be mid/low poly models?
Thinking about getting me one of those beasts... 3D printers...

I've not had a model yet I could not print due to poly count, all of the 3D printers take STL files so you have to convert out from what ever 3D modeling program you use to an STL format for printing, the STL is a text based format similar to Gcode.
The only other limit is size of printed model, my print volume is a 140mm cube(5.50in) so larger models have to broken up and printed then bonded back together.
My price for printing a model is very reasonable, it is dependant on the amount of material needed, the time on my printer and cleanup/removal of support by me, buyer pays shipping.
The cost of the printer is a big factor with most people and there can be a long learning curve to what works and what does not.
I enjoy working with artist, I have some small talent.
You can send an STL out to other fab houses on the web to get a quote and then check with me, I know if I can print it you will not be disappointed.
