 Hello New Deviant! Welcome to DeviantART. 

On this site, you can upload your artwork to share with others and find common interest with others who may share your passion. And, if you're a beginning artist, don't be afraid to ask for tips and advice on improving your art! Even professionals need improvement now and again, and we all build on each other as artists.

To help get you started, there are a few basic things you can do:

You can Add Artwork to your favorites by simply clicking the "favorite" button on the right side of the page of the artwork (also known as "deviation") that you are viewing. To help get your browsing started, you can check out some Daily Deviations and some Undiscovered Art.

 If you are more organized or just want to separate out your favorites into specific folders, you can Create Collections, which can be edited in Favorites page of your profile. To access it, simply click on the Favorites tab at the top of your profile.

If you're looking for communities to participate in and share your artwork with, or just make friends who have the same interests; then searching for Groups of subjects you might be interested in or enjoy (i.e. TV shows, Digital Art, etc.)

And finally, one of the most important things, especially for artists, with sharing their art with the community: 

Submitting your Art. This can be done via clicking the pale green button at the top of your page that says "Submit". From there, it will take you to a page that will let you upload the picture you would like to share, add a title, give a description, and, of course, tag it with keywords so that users or passersby can find it more easily when they search specific keywords into the search engine of the website.
