Well, Jean Pierre Jeunet (La CitΓ© des Enfants perdus is one of my favorite movie) and Tim Burton comes to my mind first. Emir Kusturica, Lars von Trier, Wim Wenders are also directors a like a lot.

I'm a big Jean Pierre Jeunet and Lars von Trier fan. Stanley Kubrick, Coen brothers, Charlie Kaufman movies, Harmony Korine, Wes Anderson are directors i really like. I also watch quite a bit of anime, Last exile, Evangelion, Cowboy beebop, FLCL, Ghost in the Shell are my faves. Do you watch any anime?

Yes ! I'm in love with Miyazaki's work (especially Nausicaa and Chihiro). Otomo was the first director to bring me to anime (Akira was a real blast !!), but I have to say my anime knowledges are rather thin... There's lot of movies I haven't watched yet !
Talking about Jeunet & Gilliam, Terry was saying that his last project "Tideland" is, to use his own words, " AmΓ©lie with balls" ! How promising !

Devin Townsend fan, aye? That guys' a genius! I just love his music! If you like him perhaps you'll like Anathema; kinda song based yet a little on the simplistic side, but damn it is so moving and melancholy, and it just really hits you hard. Katatonia is a real good one too if you haven't heard them before...check them out!

Yeah, definitely check out those bands!! Also, your a photographer, have you heard of Mike Levin? I have many of his works on my computer and he just captures some of the most amazing scapes.
