are the dolls you're using in your gallery BJD very expensive?

Yeeeeah, they can be a bit on the pricy side. BJDs tend to start from $200 but the average is closer to $500-$600+. I've been in the hobby for over 7 years though so it's taken me a while to build up my collection (that and I make wigs on commission so that's where most of my doll money comes from). They're a pretty rewarding hobby though, with a lot of room for customization and your own creative input. ^^

oh wow but wait, how much is that in Hong Kong dollars ($)? and yeah that's really expensive...I always wanted to have at least ONE of the dolls you use but when I see the price I always tell myself (noooo it's way to expensive so yeah I never end up getting one)
do you sell your dolls? (just wondering if you do but I think if you do, of course you'll be setting a high price for them...right?)

According to xe.com $500 USD is about $3,878 HKD.
I sometimes sell my dolls if I want to reshell a character in different sculpt or need a change but it's not all that often. Generally speaking BJDs hold most of their value so most of the time you can get more or less what you originally paid for them on the second hand market, providing they're in good condition of course.

Second hand market as in when people sell their dolls on, be it on here, on ebay, or communities like Den of Angels ;3 there's a thriving second hand market for them since a lot of people prefer to buy from each other instead of waiting for months for the companies to make their dolls to order etc or to buy more locally and avoid customs costs.
