How can u make the background of your works transparent...

Depends on the program. But in Photoshop it would be creating a 2nd layer that you use your artwork on. And then disabling the background layer.
PNG files are capable of having transparent attributes.(which is what I use)
Transparency is a common thing for Vector graphics. (Of which 95% of my gallery is)
