Your rabbits are so sweet looking. My own rabbit, Luna(tic) (a Jersey wooly/Lionhead mix) liked your pictures too, she pawed at the screen when I was looking through your photos

Aw cute! Our rabbits are from purebred show stock with pedigrees so I paid a pretty penny for each of them!Β

My Luna was a rescue from a hoarder. She was the only one who survived her litter, and she has turned into a sweet fluffy baby. We think she's about 9 months now. She was a tiny little fluff bundle when she came to me.Β

I always wanted a pedigree northland dwarf, I'm looking for one as a friend for my Luna.Β

She looks like an American Fuzzy Lop. And not a bad quality one either. I doubt the place she came from was a hoarder, just a rabbit breeder. I bet she did have a pedigree, but people were too busy "rescuing" that they didn't really care about pedigrees and such.

So many bad rescues such as Animal Rights Activists and PETA take rabbit breeders as "hoarders" because they have such a high amount of rabbits.

I have room for about 60 rabbits here. I am not a hoarder, I just competitively raise rabbits. It takes a lot of room to make quality animals that can compete on the show tables and actually place.

Wow, I searched that breed, and it looks JUST like her. Thank you!Β I do rehabilitation for abused animals and I foster for the local shelter, Β which is how Luna came to me.

I'm sure you're right about the people the rabbits came from.

I have friends who breed rabbits for shows here in Michigan, some of the best bunnies ever. I always wanted to go to a rabbit show.

www.arba.net/breeds is a great place to start for rabbits. They have a list of all the accepted breeds (except Lionheads, which is a breed that became accepted October 2013 and it will be a few more days before they put Lionheads on the accepted breeds list.

Also, ghostrabbitry.weebly.com/color-list.html is a list of rabbit colors.Β

ARBA National Convention is a rabbit show that happens once a year. On average, 20,000 rabbits are entered. There are also loads of rabbit shows all across Canada, US, Australia, and the UK that I'm sure you could attend! I'll post some pictures right now of the rabbit show in Washington I had attended June 2012. It was fantastic!
