Thanks. We had a chance of winning the contest before school was let out for summer, but now we are 5th (was in 3rd) in state & 265th (made it to 110) nationally. Contest ends July 29th...we can't think of any way to get more votes, but for a shelter our size, we've come a long way. We were in the 1000s nationally....

It was a great, I had to fav! We have lots of pages...we're on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, PetFinder & Adopt-a-pet. We have even bought our own domain & hosting...now we're just trying to figure out how to use it...lol

mhmm, will do ^^ You guys deserve one too lol :3 Voted for my local humane society yesterday. They don't have much in the way of funds to expand or whatevs, but have future plans to go into a really large [and cool looking, by way of the modeled pic <3] building XD
I just love humane societies and animal shelters in general XD All our pets 'cept my gerbils were rescues

Good for you! Rescues make the best pets! And voting for your local shelter is always the way to go...If you just gave us one vote that just means you care...

Even before I started volunteering I used to "Click ti give" everyday...I checked the site out at several places and they really do make the donations they claim. Of course it all comes from their sponsers, but hey, if I can help feed for free why not.

It really made be cry & that is the kind of thing we do...rescued abused, abandoned, & neglected animals. That's actually how we get most of the animals in our care now. The husband of the GCHS's (us) director is the head SPCA agent in West TN & my husband is also a SPCA officer.

Thanks so much.All you have yo do is vote for once a day in The Animal Rescue Site's Shelter Challenge. We just got a building but we have remodel to house the animals. Right now we have around 40 animals we are keeping in our homes & we don't even get paid! [link]

Just search Gibson County Humane Society in Dyer TN. Vote once a day it takes 3 min & you don't have to register or give them any info. If there was a chance for use to win ....well that would get us going. Thank you again.
