I was actually surprised at that forum because there were so many posts that were positive.. in the forum on my school's homepage for example pretty much all the entries are "sure, gay people are fine with me just as long as they don't have the same rights as the rest of us". Kind of.
There's still a long way to go :: sigh ::

I was so happy with how positive it was too, you're right, theres a very long way to go...but we've come a very long way! At least we aren't getting burned alive anymore! Sheesh. Sheesh sheesh sheesh. Its getting better, here in Baton Rouge, we're doing some panels in classes around LSU, we go and sit in a classroom and everyone can ask any questions they might have about the GLBT community. Sometimes, its gets pretty crazy, but for the most part, its good. When people can sit down and actually talk to someone homosexual, it usually has a positive impact. So things are on the up and up.

Well yeah, it's definitely going in the right direction.
In our school we started a gay support group a year ago.. I don't know how it's going though, we sent all the staff on a seminar about discrimination and made the library put up a shelf with gay literature... so the teachers are all open-minded now but the students are tougher ^.^; we've been thinking about doing something like that, going around in the classes and just let them ask questions. We just have to gather our courage first

I reccommend it, but be prepared, it can be a wee bit hostile at times!!! But, sometimes, it feels like you really reached them, it can be so rewarding!

Jaa det har jag ju.. fast hittills har jag bara kunnat norpa från bilderna jag har på elfwood eftersom mor vandaliserat vår scanner. Hoppas på att Puu ska låta mig scanna lite hos henne ^.^
