Hello, Doole's gone on a cruise to Mexico! So I'll be answering any and all questions you have.
Making the glove with full mobility was painful. we couldn't use rolled up tisue papers because we wanted to be able to make sure it flexed right (That and we were tired and being stupid) so I put the glove on, planned where the individual piece went, then hot glued it on.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEE. 8D
Here's the template I used as a reference: [link]
So I studied that and redrew the templates to fit my hand better. I made a copy, printed it out on paper, cut them out, then just taped the paper pieces onto my glove to test mobility and how much I had to trim and stuff.
Then craft foam time! The pieces were cut out, painted, molded with a hairdryer, then glued on. It was that simple. And fun! We still have pictures of me screaming my head off as Doole holds the glove in place.
It sounds horrible, but in the aftermath we were both laughing really hard.
Hope that helped!

Oh gosh, the price you pay for good armor!! XD
Thank you so much for your help, me and my friend are going to start our armor attempt this weekend, so we could use all the help we can get!
What kind of gloves did you use? I know that's a really specific question, but if we don't know every miniscule step, me and my friend will probably end up with craft foam gauntlets glued to our hands or winter gloves...
Yeah we're pretty useless when left to our own devices.
Thank you again!!!!

The ideal kind og glove would be fake leather gloves of the particular color you want, which I am guessing is either black or brown. Leather is more heat-proof than most, so it helps with the glueing process, as well as looking more authentic.
Alas, even after scouring nearly all of our city's thrift stores, it was summer and we couldn't find any good leather gloves. So we had to resort to using black cotton gloves from walmart. It works, I guess, but I wouldn't reccomend it unless it's some sturdy cotton.
Don't use winter gloves. Gluegun doesn't work on them, and they don't hold together very well. and besides, most conventions are in the summer, why would you do that to yourself? D:
XD No problem! We're happy to help. Just remember to mod podge and paint before you mold and glue it. here's the foam armor tutorial that was reccomended to us:[link]
If I may ask, who's or what kind of armor are you making?

Me and my friend really want to do Dragon Age 2 cosplays, I'm doing Female Mage Hawke...but she has pretty swell armor, and I'm about as crafty as a fetus... [Strange mental image? I think so.]
I'm not sure who my friend decided on yet... I think she might be Fenris or Merrill... we've debated for a while!!!
That and now I can make Assassin's Creed armor...maybe.DDDDD

XDD Oh don't worry. I'm the sage of strange images. Just ask my friends.
XD AC armor is a bit more fabric, but maybe that's more down your alley, I dunno. All I can say is, Hobbit ears from any costume store work great as Dragon Age elf ears! Good luck with your costume!
