Hmm... I guess this was the age of Industrialisation.
At the beginning of 1800 there were lots of little states in Germany and every state had it's own currency and it's own law and there was no unity.
Because of this Industrialisation started late.
But it started after the states started working together.
You may not believe it but this era was possible because of sugar beets. xD

The roaring 20's. Mostly because of the elegant hairstyles and the champagne. But the beginning of 'swing' music came in, which was just as amazing. I also adore the 60's, for Martin Luther King Jr. fought against the -white- man to help stop segregation. Segregation was discrimination against blacks. There were white only signs everywhere. The busses, restaurants, buildings, and even bathrooms were segregated. There was lots of violence. But my absolute favorite era was the 70's. This was the BEST era for music. And, it was the 'peace and anti-war' era. Yes, many people were riding purple horses while munching on yellow sunshine, but this era let lots of silly, silly and artistic songs come about. For instance: White Rabbit. Some great songs from this era were: Hotel California by The Eagles, Coconut by Harry Nilsson, Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult, and many many more.
