Don't worry about it. 3d is frustrating. There's so much to learn and about a million different ways of doing something.

Thanks for watching. To get the blood effects, I opened the original dress texture in photoshop and added a layer of blood on top. The image was from cgtextures.com (from the blood and splatter category). The layer blending was set to multiply.
