thursday october 6, 2005

here just do it

most people aren't sure of what they really want in life. I

received this

letter from a friend on the computer, did what it told me to, and

within a

week, everything I had wished came true!! Here's an exact copy,

this

really

works!!!!

*************************************************************

1. To yourself, say the name of the only

guy or girl you wanna be with 3

times!

*************************************************************

2. Think of something you wanna accomplish

within the next week and say it to your self

6

times!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. If you had 1 wish what would it be? say it to
yourself 9 times!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Think of something that you want to happen
between you and that 1special person and say
it to your self 12
times!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Now, heres the hard part! Pick only 1 of these wishes and as
you scroll down focus and
concentrate on it and think on nothing
else but that wish.
Now make one last &final wish about that one wish
that you picked.
After reading this, you have 1 hour to send it out to 15 people,
and what
you wished for will come true within in one week!
u only get one chance!!!!! Now scroll down and think of your
crush!!!
Keep going
down
Keep going
Keep
going
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you think of your crush? I hope so, that was
your last chance. Now pay very close attention this important
message!
Sorry but once read, must be sent. Yes, this is one of those kinda
chain
letters that everyone hates. This one has been going since 1863
and
if you
break this chain, you will pay!!!!!! Remember that after hearing
these
stories.
First Example:
Take Barbra Wallace.. She was a pretty lucky girl,
up till she got this same chain letter. She had a crush on the same
kid
since kindergarden. when she got this mail she didn't pay any
attention to
it. She just thought, no big deal. And deleted it. The next day her
dad
got fired and her mom dies in a car crash. If she would have sent
the
letter none of that would have happened and her mom
would be alive.
Second Example:
Try Freddie D. Now Freddie D. was your average
nerd. Had glasses, was short and chubby, was in gifted. All the
signs of
your total dork. He also received this letter and sent it to 51
people in
the hour. Now, like Barbra, he had a crush on a girl since 3rd
grade. The
next day after sending the chain the girl confessed her love for
him ever
since 3rd grade. Freddie D. finally had the courage to ask her out,
and of
course, she had been waiting to yes to that for years. They grew
up
and
married each other to live happily forever.
Third Example:
Now if you couldn't relate to the others, this'll
get ya hooked. Listen to this. A kid named Jordan Johnson was just
getting on AOL to check his mail. He was a quiet kid, not that
popular but
not a geek either. he was just normal. He saw he had mail from his
friend. It was this exact letter. Now Jordan Johnsen was a smart
kid and
he knew what could happen if he didnt pass it on. He simply pulled
a few
friends from his buddy list and sent it along. The next day,
about
that
same time, he got a phone call. It said he had won the lottery!
then his
dad came home and bought him a new bike! His mom bought him
Nintendo64 and
play station! His grandmother sent him a new computer, and his best
friend
gave him tickets to the concert he wanted to go to, Kid Rock and
Limp
Bizkit! Then he inherited a brand-new tv from his aunt! He was
goin' wild!
the next day his secret crush asked him out, and they have been
going out
ever since.
Now, you heard the stories. I know
which person i'd rather
be, but thats up to you. I wouldn't wanna end up like Barbra but
thats
only me. We all want what we cant have but now's ur chance to go
out with
that special somebody ur waiting for. Take it or leave it. If you
send
this to-
1 person- you will lose all luck in ur love
life.....forever!!!!!
10 people- your crush will say they like you as a
friend......ONLY!!!!!
15 people- your crush will say they like you
20 people- your crush will ask you out!
25 people- your crush will kiss you!!
30 people - Your crush
will have sex with you
35 people or more- All of the above!!
Don't blow it, it's ur chance to shine! Have
everything u wanted, and more! Now, complaining cus u dont have any
friends. Well theres an answer 4 everything. It's simple, just go
in a
chat room, pick some names and send away! but here's the
catch.....you only
have one hour to send it after being read. Please pass this to
everyone you.. know
and u cant send it baq to me
u don't have to do it! ^^
NOTICE TO ALL YOU HAPPY INTERNET PEOPLE: If I don't reply immediately to comments, it's because I'm very busy driving myself insane over a Danny Phantom fanfic I'm writing called 'Lose Yourself.' For reasons beyond my comprehension, this story is incredibly, insanely, rediculously difficult for me to write, and if I don't get it done this week I may never finish it at all. If you'd like to check it out while you wait for me to drag myself out of my fiction-induced story-coma, go here:
*squee* Hello Sakura! Yup, I've got an account, but it helps me track Doc Ock/DP fanfiction more than anything else. Thanks for the watch, and for the review on STL14. It did indeed brighten my day, though I didn't think either story was that complex... *shrug* Who knew?
PS: Thanks for the watch!
Read the chapter 2 of UDPF that I have on here on DA. It has a paragraph that I added in that will slightly change things in the story as I revise all 9 chapters thus far. Don't worry, it's not that big of a change.
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0
Sakura-Scout In reply to JadeRabbit [2005-03-31 02:32:18 +0000 UTC]
I'm doing fine. As you can tell by my current status on my page, I'm busy. right now, I'm doing my history home and then I have to read 7 short stories. After that mess, I'll get crackin' on chapter 10.
Which reminds me: I've made vague outlines for the next couple of chapters. And in chapter 10 ... You know how I said that I wouldn't have Yamashiro do a some sort of stunt? *sigh* Well ... I had him make one. NOT ON PURPOSE, THOUGH!! I just wanted to make the chapter extra long 'cause I made people wait months for the next update. *sigh* At least it's not that big of stunt and it's only to 'inform' Sam of what is to come.
*sigh* I also have to rethink about Yamashiro some more. Normally, the characters I create have a solid and detailed background to support their role. In Yamashiro's case, I have the story of his past life, but the details aren't ... well ... vivid enough to explain how similar he was/is to Danny. Ugh ... Sorry for dumping on you. I just had to get that off my chest 'cause none of my friends are Danny Phantom fans so they have no clue how to help me with UDPF.
Anyhoo ... I'm glad that my review brightened up your day. And even though neither story seemed that complex, remember that you tend to be more ... indepth than other people.
JA NE!!
JadeRabbit In reply to Sakura-Scout [2005-03-31 07:11:28 +0000 UTC]
Ah, homework woes. I remember them well, back in the days when I was taking a *real* English class. Good luck.
Ooo, UDPF! I was much afeared you had given it up. Glad to hear you're not. Stunts aren't BAD things, by the way. When properly supported by tone and characterization, they can be pretty good. Goodness knows my Alex/black goop loves the spotlight. As far as Yamashiro goes, I can imagine you're having some trouble. Not only is his cultural background completely different, but he's also kind of... evil at the moment. Maybe you could use the stunt to draw some of the Danny-ness out of him? It should be possible to construe an encounter between Yamashiro and Sam in which Yamashiro either (partially) explains himself or Sam observes something in him that reminds her of Danny. Also, if Yamashiro has any triggers, anything that would momentarily draw him back to the way he used to be pre-massacre, you might invoke a touch of that in order to clarify Yamashiro's former similarity to Danny. Maybe Yamashiro mildly threatens Danny and Sam defends him, and the defense reminds Yamashiro of how his girl used to be towards him? Or Sam could be attacked by a rival ghost in Yamashiro's presence...
Hopefully that helped rather than confused. Don't worry about the dumpage. I like to assist, and the more detail ya give me the more specifically I can reply. Besides, it's nice to speak with someone who isn't freaked out by in-depthness.
Ya got bloo smoke in ch. 2, now.
Glad to have a fan. I didn't think anybody liked the zombie one. I guess one of these days I might update it, but I've got so many other things going right now that it won't be for a while.
Some of my stuff is depressing, but most of it ends happily. I prefer redemption to damnation. BTW, are you reading 'Sing'? That one's really going to get baaaaaad for Danny. The ending will make it worth it for all involved, though.
Nuuu. Worse than Saving? Man. o.o;; 'Saving' had me down for so long that I had to go on a two-hour RPG spree to get myself back up again. .___.;;; I love the Fan Zone, though. It's amazing how you manage to keep them so IC and OOC at the same time.
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
JadeRabbit In reply to halflingrogue [2004-11-09 02:16:25 +0000 UTC]
Awww... I'm sorry. I don't mean for my stories to depress people. I can understand if you got caught in the middle of it, but I hope that once you reached the ending you got a little warm fuzzy feeling? 'Sing' may or may not be as bad. I know the ending, but I can only make approximate the type/intensity of the emotion until I actually write the scene. Let's just say that the crew will meet... extenuating circumstances.
Yes, the Fan Zone is fun. I've many plans for future episodes of that one. The characters aren't that hard to keep IC, and with enough interesting situations and props, OOC-ness is minimized. Glad you're enjoying it!
Saa naa, it's okay. ^^ I just . . . have a tendency to get absurdly caught up in whatever I'm reading at the time. I cried while reading Mercedes Lackey's Exile's Honor fer crying out loud . . . > .O
I'm tempted to do a DP short now. XD If I can ever get around to it. *blinks at stacks of waaaaaaay-behind-schedule homework, fanfic ideas for other series, artwork, chores, and a multitude of random crap* . . . I'm organized. Really.
JadeRabbit In reply to halflingrogue [2004-11-09 04:48:46 +0000 UTC]
Ooooh yes, I know how quickly that random crap piles up. Homework is evil. So are incompetent teachers who teach LIES! Argh! Ahem. Sorry, that's another rant altogether.
Sometimes it's fun to get caught up in things. That way you have something pleasant to think about when people/situations become inane or frustrating. Haven't read Exile's Honor, but the one that takes the cake for me is Faulkner's As I Lay Dying. There's terrific tragic irony in that one.
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
halflingrogue In reply to JadeRabbit [2004-11-09 15:39:47 +0000 UTC]
Ackk. I'm reading that book in English. I also think that one's depressing. XD Then again, all of the books I've read in English class since grade 10 have been depressing. I do like Beckett's Waiting For Godot, though.
But personally, I'm a fantasy buff. Favourite book of all time's gotta be Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey. Absolutely a-ma-zing.
And yeah, evil teachers who tell lies. Or won't tell you what's going to be on exams. Or even tests. >.>
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
JadeRabbit In reply to halflingrogue [2004-11-11 07:53:32 +0000 UTC]
Late reply. Ack.
Fantasy? Really? I'm more of a sci-fi person myself. I think most of the 'good' books are depressing, probably because it's easier to be happy if you're ignorant, and all the best authors are/were anything but. Still, there's good upbeat literature out there. Ayn Rand and Dave Eggars, or the author of 'Catch-22' whose name I can't remember and am too tired to look up. Joseph Heller. That's his name.
Much homework and college apps have I to complete...
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
halflingrogue In reply to JadeRabbit [2004-11-11 15:29:20 +0000 UTC]
Dun worry, perfectly understandable. ^^
I used to read sci-fi as a kid (I adored Monica Hughes) but I've pretty much dropped out of it since then. I dunno, I personally think that the only true happiness to be achieved can't be obtained through ignorance; just because you have a realistic outlook on life doesn't mean you have to be all doom and gloom. I realize life isn't all roses, but I'm happy and I believe in happy endings. But, yeah, I already had this argument with my dad, so I'll shut up now before I start ranting.
Tell me about it. I just got a lecture (the one-on-one kind) from my English teacher because I fell asleep the last two classes because I've been trying to catch up on four essays, seminar questions, quizzes, reading, and not-school-related stuff all at the same time . . . *waddles off to do questions* I joined university to learn, not to work, dammit. :rarr:
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
JadeRabbit In reply to halflingrogue [2004-11-12 08:29:11 +0000 UTC]
I agree with you on the happiness idea. My point was that intelligent people are known to react more emotionally to matters of principle than, well, less intelligent people are, and in those cases it's easier to do the whole doom and gloom thing because optimism takes courage and determination. Maybe faith, too. I guess as far as literature goes, I use stressful situations because it's one of the best ways to show readers' the mettle of the characters. It's useful for thematic stuff too, not to mention it makes for great drama so long as you fix the depressing stuff in the end.
As you can see, I have absolutely no problem with rants/civilized discussions. There must be some kind of EVIL English teacher problem sweeping the nation, because mine is utterly unqualified (I mean can't-spell-or-pronounce-own-vocabulary- words unqualified) AND has a napoleonic complex. We're talking the angry midget English teacher who learned grammar from e.e. cummings.
So much make-up you are doing! Wherefore? My condolences to your social life...
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
halflingrogue In reply to JadeRabbit [2004-11-12 15:15:17 +0000 UTC]
Oh, okay! Gotcha. And poor, poor you. I had an art teacher who also taught English (never to ME, thank goodness) and she couldn't spell. We asked her how the heck she became and English teacher then and she said she had no idea.
Ack, must get back to essays. @_@
So you're in college? You majoring in anything?
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
JadeRabbit In reply to halflingrogue [2004-11-13 03:06:56 +0000 UTC]
Oh how I wish I was in college. When I escape the pot-stench of my high school in June, I plan on majoring in physics. I luv math. And quantum physics. 'Course I love writing, too, and I'm good at all of them, so I'm going to try and swing a double major. What are you majoring in? Is your college very much better than high school? (Please say yes!)
Ah, essays. The bane of students everywhere, especially the timed ones. >.< I had a teacher like that last year. Didn't know why he was teaching or what he was teaching, but at least the class was easy.
πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1
halflingrogue In reply to JadeRabbit [2004-11-13 17:42:59 +0000 UTC]
A-ha. I was good at math. Until I hit grade 9. Rarr. >.>; Barely survived geometric proofs in grade 12. I don't have a major yet since it's only my first year, but my program is the Humanities. It's lots of fun. ^^ Except for English. I got reamed out by my teacher a few days ago for falling asleep in class once too often. .____.;; *can sympathize with Danny on that point* And yes! It is better than high school! But it's also very much different. And it doesn't SEEM different at first, which makes it hard to get used to, but you figure it out eventually.
Rarr. Yeah, I've got an essay due this Monday that I still haven't really got around to. I'm spending all day today at my local library and then the national archives. Speaking of which, I'd better go. o.o
((By the way, thought you might find this convo between me and my sis amusing:
Me: You still owe me peppermint sticks.
Mallory: *snicker* I just had a mental picture of Danny with peppermint sticks in his mouth, wrapped up in a ribbon . . .
Me: ! I'd take that any day! Early birthday present, early Christmas, early whatever. And I'd love you forever and ever.
Mallory: At least until Sam showed up . . . Dun dun DUN!
Me: Eek. Well, I'm not going to KEEP him. Just play with him for a while. I'd give him back. Eventually.
Mallory: After a few months. Or years. Or decades.
Me: Decades works. Oh, wait. Four years is better, then I'd give him back to Sam. She'd be gratefulβ€”they'd be legal age by then.
Mallory:
Me: And he'd be experienced by then, too.
Mallory: God, you're so perverted. XD
Me: Thank you, thank you. ))
Okay, yeah, I'll shut up now. ^^
Well, different would be good, I guess. I luved them proofs. I got whupped in Algebra II (well, sort of) but this year calculus is great. Glad to hear that college is better. Hope it won't take me too long to figure out the 'different' bit. Ooooh yes, I've heard stories about people who fall asleep in college. And high school. Generally not a good situation. Sorry you got caught.
That's definitely an appealing image of Danny. But your poor sister! Her mind be tainted! Ah well, 'twas bound to happen eventually.
