dA's got a generic permissions form that can be found here , but in most scenarios you won't need something so formal. Seeing as the sprites you use are Nintendo's you'll want to email their legal department (found at the bottom of this list of contacts). Be sure to mention that the edits are being submitted to a site where copyrights apply.
