well ... the most programs i use are paper and a ballpoint!
And if it's not traditional (pencils, colored pencils, markers, ballpoints, erasers etc.), it usually is photoshop. So yes, the aguithera is not a 3d model, it is a photoshopped image! here you have a some pictures of the progress: [link] and you find the base image in the deviation itself. It was based on a simple sketch.

I also did some 3d (with google sketchup (free 3d program) and kerkythea (free rendering program), see here: [link] (i designed the table and the room, with some models from the 3d-gallery in google sketch up) or here [link] (also a combination of own designs and 3d-models) (were some projects during my studies.
