For me, SM is what got me started to draw.
As i just love beautiful things, which is about everything. lols.
I use it as reference and i did a lot of it over the years.
But now, as i look back, i was so bad at it.

But it's a good way to improve i guess.

Me too, back when I was little. I don't really draw much animanga stuffs, [obviously] but I like to make cute fanart when bored. Crappy fanart, yes, but I loves the pixel. It's important to try new things ^-^ I'm just sad that I can't show some of my best stuff, since I'm scannerless. A lot of my favorite watercolors will just live in my sketchbook. Gravi is about Shuichi Shindou, the lead singer and resident IdiotProtagonist of his band Bad Luck, that is trying to make it famous. He meets a TallSexyBastard writer named Eiri Yuki, and the series details their relationship while chronicling Bad Luck's ascent. Yes, lame summary, but it is SO funny (rofl funny) and there are loads of characters and plot twists. Plus, the relationship is very believable and the series just sucks you in. Both the anime and manga are pretty good, manga is better. Hopefully you'll try new things ^.'
PS. Shonen ai. And loads of cute guys w/ fabu music.

I heard a lot of good things about Gravitation on forums.
And I heard the Shonen ai in that one is pretty good too.
It sounds really interesting, i am sure if i am bored enough and have nothing to download, i'll check out that one.
manga is better than anime.
But I am just starting to download anime.
I just finished my 1st anime last month, trinity blood.
the ending wasn't that great....actually, it felt really unfinished and unsatisfied.
But I still love the stuff in between.
What's funnt is that i started to read manga a year ago.
Mostly shojo, but then i got so bored with those stories so i gave yaoi a try. And now, I can't live without it.
I thought that the stories in Shonen ai and yaoi are way more interesting than shojo.
It's interesting how you get so addicted to manga.

what I think of DA. Well I like it. Of course there are many people that are better than me and have greater art so I learn alot and have fun at the same time. I get the chance to share my art with other wonderful people and share their art. it's really fun. I meet new friends, that's great.

I will. I guess I've been here for 2 years soon, I think. But I don't have so much time so it doesn't happen often that I put art on my page ... I just draw and I never get the chance to be finished. Time is passing by and I just don't know what I'm doing with it. Well life is dificult that way...

I do that too.
I have a lot of unfinished works.
sometimes, i feel like my inspiration just ran out.
But this year, i really got a hand of things and pursuited myself to continue what i did as i got more idea coming into my head.
This also has a lot to do with emotions as when i am happy, i can draw a lot and go wild.
I think this is the reason why i have improved too as i am finally crawl out of a 2 year long depression of mine
Those unfinished drawing, in my opinon, you should leave them and one day, when you're really good at your drawing, then take them out to change and fix them.
I think it will gave the picture a different taste. I haven't try it yet, but its what i want to do.
As I am just continuing to draw right now whenever i get the chance in school because i found that you can get out a lot of good stuff when you're bored ^^

I agree with you completely. Drawing and emotions has alot to do with eachother. When I'm sad the drawings gets really sad somehow and when I'm happy they get happy. Boredom can be good in drawing. I always get something out of it

these days, the way i draw is by idea. I want to have an idea and then put them on paper. Even thought it takes some days or weeks to finish the whole picture, i want to learn to draw what i had in mind. In the same time work on new styles and techniques.
I am currently working on a picture that I am focusing my all into the background.
