I just finished the fic to its current point a day ago and I'm just...I'm blown away. Too good. Meanwhile I actually found your artwork through the author of Birthright's blog who said nothing but glowing things about you. NOW I KNOW WHY--your work is absolutely amazing! Have you considered creating art for the other characters? I would love to see your interpretation of Jason, Rose, or any of the OCs

Also, I was actually going to ask your permission-- I made an avatar out of two of your Monkey and Trip images, and I would like to use it for my youtube channel (I vid Monkey and Trip, and other fandoms besides Enslaved). Is this alright? Let me know !

Oh yes I've already started. Last year when I was making the first set I knew there had to be a second (most of them are pretty much drawn, like Jason, Rose and Marla). And after talking more to Em I decided most likely there will be a third because there are just so many good characters. The only problem is time and deadlines for work. But you will see them eventually

Your artwork, Em-Dash's writing, and many others out there are so inspiring...I hope that if we make enough noise maybe Ninja Theory will listen to their fans. The last couple months my boyfriend and one of our best guy friends have been collecting fabric, and materials for our upcoming Enslaved cosplays (We've got the perfect trio!), and we just started sewing. We're in the works of planning a legit fan video to send in to Ninja Theory to basically beg for a re-look at Enslaved as a sequel. It will be nice to share progress shots as well as video plans with a fellow enslaved enthusiast throughout the year !

Lol Jason is definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's one of my favs when it came to designing him. I try to put a lot of thought into each of the characters based on the writing as well my own ideas of personality and function. Also I really enjoyed creating Mark, bc I didn't go the typical route in designing him I think.

K now I'm subscribed and following! And I didn't realize the MonkeyXTrip Chemicals Between Us was your vid! I had seen it a while ago and really liked the editing, fav!

My thoughts exactly, it's a shame the game didn't garner enough attention as it should have. And I read somewhere how they even planned multiplayer for the game etc. <--of course this is more of a bonus. But I just was left wanting so much more. The game really resuscitated a lot of my love for what I do for a living and then so much more. And I'm lucky to have played it and found Em's beautiful story.

I can't wait to see the cosplays and the vids and everything!! I hope Ninja Theory listens up. I also plan to do my own little story in the form of a comic. You know the drawing of the younger versions of Monkey I did? Well I had an idea for a while that I would explore the origins of his facial mark and how he came to adopt it as a child. I already started drawing out the first page. So it should be interesting. Again I'm glad there's people out there who love this game as much as me

Oh my goodness the moment you release the pages for this comic I have to see it! I've read Pillars, and I LOVE your style. I can tell you put a lot of thought into your work, and your characters based on Em's writing--I read the fic, and look back at the picture for reference now and again and it just makes SENSE--you've expressed them so well . Sry to gush, but I must haha XD.

Oh, that old thing. Like all personal works you look back at it and admire it, but I'm also kind of embarrassed about it because its an old vid, and I've gotten a lot better in my editing style (and not to mention I own better editing software, act) since then. Thank you for the fav, and follow though <3!

I heard about the multiplayer cloud game they were going to add on! The shame is that Ninja Theory had SO much planned for it, and were so fond of the project that the producer, and director came out and said they planned to make it into a franchise. They were going to do this, but it did not sell like planned. The fans are to blame for not buying it at full price. You know though, I also blame Ninja Theory in big part because their marketing sucked, and this is NOT the first time their marketing has absolutely sucked. With Heavenly Sword despite having a lot of commercials out there (unlike Enslaved) they released it in the same time frame as Halo 3, Gears of War, and a lot of top franchises. Their marketing team is crap. I'll go pass out fliers--what do they need me to do?! My buds and I have actually talked about staying with a friend of ours in the UK, dressing up, and sitting outside Ninja Theory's building with a protestors sign that says, "Don't forget about us" and "SEQUEL?". Obsessive? Maybe. But I know there's more people out there like you and me who think this company deserves more than a DMC franchise reboot!

As a DMC fan I'm actually really looking forward to their take on the series. If anyone should have been given the task it was def Ninja Theory. With that said, I imagine if DMC does really well, maybe they will be able to expand and therefore possibly be able to make an Enslaved sequel (PRAYS). Obsessive? Hmm, you know if you're passionate and you believe in something then people need to know and in this case it's Ninja Theory. Look at how many tv cartoons and shows have been brought back bc fans begged and pleaded. So it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Sigh and the marketing was really bad... When I first saw the demo, I was like great another sci fi game.. but I was wrong. SO WRONG. Also do they have community managers at Ninja Theory?? I know they have them at Bioware and Ubi and the rest I'm sure.

ARRGH YOU READ PILLARS??! lol It was an attempt at something and sadly I never finished it. I love painted comics. One of my biggest influences is Kent Williams. But the title name comes from the song Pillars by Sunny Day Real Estate. It heavily inspired my creative flow at the time. Check it out when you get a chance.

I don't mind the gushing lol I just hope in turn my work can inspire others creatively

I have only played a little bit of DMC3 (in which I wanted to give up on life it was so challenging XD) so I can't say much on that. I did see the trailer they produced for E3, and it looks like the fans of DMC are not that excited about it because of the look and feel of the new Dante and his world. However, I do wish NT the best, and I'm hoping (like you said) they can split the company into two teams to work on future DMC games, as well as original projects like an Enslaved franchise. Funny enough I didn't even see the demo, but I heard it was terrible (the first chapter? Hardly worth it!). I was actually walking through my local rental store, and the box art caught my eye. I NEVER pick up games on a whim as I always try to read the review...but I thought: "What the heck". How lucky I got haha.

I'm familiar with William's work, and that's what it totally reminded me of! I'll look into that song too--I'm big into song swaps

I hope the fans come around. Overall it looks great. I wish Ninja Theory knew how much love fans have for them. And OMG! That's funny how you found Enslaved. How cosmic and crazy is that? But yeah the demo didn't really give me a taste of what it was about. If they had chosen a very emotional cut scene paired with gameplay, maybe that would have been better. And I still can't believe they released their games when the big franchises were also out. They didn't stand a chance. Sigh...
I need MOAR MONKEY! or MONKEY'S BACKSIDE! Either one is sufficient.

Sry, I forgot to reply to apart of your last comment: I'm not sure if they have community managers that regularly check back with their fans, but it is something worth looking into it (and I will when I get the time!). I do know they have a forum on the official Ninja Theory website sectioned off into games--I plan to post our video in the Enslaved section when all is said and done. Maybe one of the mods will take a look at it and show it to someone? One can only hope .

Moar Monkey is ALWAYS in order, but I feel like if they had a sequel Trip would HAVE to be present as well. She is THE Tripitaka in the Chinese folktale equation, and not to mention the only hope of Monkey being able to settle down for happiness (but with him ...is it possible? XD).

Do you have Spotify? If you do I actually have an Enslaved "Journey Before and After Pyramid" playlist based on Em's suggestions for the fic, and others I've found that are inspiring to listen and create to. You can collab on it with me if you want!
